Discussion: ‘Where Are The Babies, Mitch?’: McConnell Protested At Restaurant

I don’t really understand why there is an expectation people won’t protest him in public spaces, and harangue him and his wife. If we want to go back to the oft-deified Founding Fathers, they got heckled by the mob all the time.

He is reaping what he has sown.

All of these people need to be confronted when they appear in public.
Shame them. Point out their evil to their faces.
Don’t call them names (I agree with mattinpa), that’s weak. It’s much more effective to directly address what they’re doing wrong, like the woman who confronted Pruitt, or asking when the children will be returned.
And if you don’t want to be “confrontational” or get into a debate, just ask them to leave.

Either way, let them know they are no longer welcome in civil society.

Maybe tarring and feathering is called for at this point. More likely they will all vote themselves Pruitt level security.

They’ve lived inside their protected bubble of privilege and entitlement so long this long overdue reality check is going to be even unusually brutal.

Per the Post, another man drove up in a convertible after McConnell and his dining companions silently got into their car and left. He angrily addressed the protestors, saying: “Let them live their lives. It’s none of your fucking business.”

This man should have been the next target. Dude we’re allowed to protest, dude the man you are defending is allowing harm to citizens and non-citizens, dude we pay this legislator money-consider it a “verbal warning” that will placed in his personnel file.

Yes, it’s turtle scat in your own rhetorical punchbowl. This is serious, serious shit. Protest like it.

History* will tell us what we already know, that the obvious sadism of the so-called separation policy is what tipped disgust into rage.

I agree that it could be baiting, perhaps even at the direction of Mango Musselini when you think about Dershwitz’ whining about being shunned on the Vineyard.

If Trump really wants a big negative reaction, he should throw put the first pitch at the All-star game in D.C. He’ll never do it, too thin skinned.
