Not House , But one small thing that brought joy to my world
Trump Ally and Voter Suppression Guru Kris Kobach Goes Down in Flames as Democrat Laura Kelly Wins Governorās Race
Soā¦those were really, really āwith himā I guess.
Good Morning ! Iāve finally found the explanation of the way Florida votesā¦like Florida
ST. AUGSTINE, Fla. ā Authorities say a man was found injured after breaking into a Florida zoo and jumping into a crocodile enclosure.
The Florida Times-Union reports St. Augustine police responded Tuesday morning to reports of vandalism at the Alligator Farm Zoological Park. Police say officers found blood and clothing in the zooās newly opened Nile crocodile exhibit.
Absolutely fan-fucking-tastic result! Hadnāt gotten there yet. Another deee-licious tidbit in this story - Dave Brat (was there ever a more apt name?) is gone.
I live here and it was the Retirees in the Villages that swayed the election. This is the last time. Amendment 4 passed and felons who have completed their sentences can now vote
This is how we win
Level the playing field.
Based on the Sentencing Projectās 2016 estimates, this benefits more than a million people. The organization estimated in 2016 that nearly 1.5 million people in Florida have completed felony sentences but canāt vote ā about 9.2 percent of the voting-age population in Florida. The total, though, includes some people convicted of murder and felony sex offenses, so not every one of those people benefits under Amendment 4.
Black people, who are disproportionately arrested and incarcerated, will benefit the most. In 2016, more than 418,000 black people out of a black voting-age population of more than 2.3 million, or 17.9 percent of potential black voters in Florida, had finished sentences but couldnāt vote due to a felony record, according to the Sentencing Project. (Again, this includes some people convicted of murders and felony sex offenses.)
Thereās a campaign theme Republicans can get some play out of. Dems touting enhanced future electoral prospects in the state because itās a given ex-felons vote predominantly Democrat.
Oh yeah
Willy Horton ads redux
These ācriminalsā are determining your future.
If history is any predictor , the Ruby red Fl Legislature and noted douchebag Rick DeSantis will be very busy trying to come up with legislation to subvert this
You heard it here first
Howdy, Neighbor ! Iāve got property in Citrus County & my In-laws have lived there since 1981. My sister-in-law has married a 2 local fellows (so far) & to make a long story short, youād find more liberal folks on Breitbart & Red State websites. The last time I discussed politics with them I was told Obama saved them a ton of money from Obamacare, but they ājust canāt accept that a n-word is Presidentā. These are also the same folks worship Trump after telling me for years about how us city slickers werenāt going to outsmart them.
I live in Lake County ( Devil in the Grove Fame - see footnote) I also am a blue dot . Not one Democrat elected locally and all the races broke 60/40. It was big time culture shock when I moved from South Florida . Rebel Flags and 4 X 4ās Blatant anti-Obama screeds posted in businesses.
It is slowly changing as we get an influx of more cultured individuals , but still one dare not discuss politics in this FOX world.
Gak!
If Iām not mistaken, Citrus is the County that lynched the most black menā¦in the country, not just Florida.
Oh, I gots a hundred more stories like that one
Maybe not the most, but in the running

When I get looped into the sporadic conversation with a Trumper I dismissively excuse them from my presence by stating I havenāt the time to speak with someone that supports a lying, bigoted rapist. But not before I succinctly note such support places them squarely on the same moral plane as their hero.
@redhand
As do all us blue dots
You really confront this Faux Derangement syndrome every day , everywhere .
Rational discussion dare not speak itās name
Yeah. I guess it was their ābatting averageā :
From Tampa Bay Times : āHernando in particular was singled out in the report along with Citrus, Taylor and Lafayette as the counties in Florida with the highest rates of lynching. The researchers studied data sets, newspaper clippings, archives, court records and conducted interviews to assemble their findings. They focused on āracial terror lynchings,ā separating such acts from hangings or mob actions after criminal trials.ā
I have a good friend in NC, with whom I share a lifelong hobby - model aircraft. We do not discuss politics by mutual agreement. Occasionally I tell him about some of my Central American asylum cases, and the real facts down there, but we never get into the politics of asylum law in the USA now, and never discuss elections. Not worth losing a friend. Heās stone blind to what Trump really stands for. Trying to educate him is a lost cause.
