There is no Obamacare anymore. It became GOPCare the minute they began to sabotage it with EOs. They own it all now.

They’re going to pick a day in the middle of some other scandal or crisis and run a voice vote at 3 in the morning. And then claim complete ignorance as to how the bill got passed and signed.

Really? You think the public won’t blame it on Obama and the Democrats if the ACA collapses?

Gohmert said the proposal would “still mean that federal government is the big boss and we may throw some crumbs to the states, when actually we have taken so much power away from the states."

“The states shouldn’t have to ask the federal government for waiver. The federal government should have to ask states for permission,” Gohmert said.

Can they please take a basic government civics test at the swearing in?

Also, someone needs to explain to him that their golden goose - selling all insurance plans across state lines - makes the federal government the big boss because you’ll have interstate commerce issues.

I don’t know how he gets dressed in the morning.

“Repeal and replace.” You’re 0-2, gentlemen. Want to go for the strikeout? Be my guest.

So their negotiations are just about where they were the day before they pulled it the first time. And technically where they’ve been for 7 years when you take into account their lack of a real plan and the predicament of having to wedge themselves between a plan that was never that far to the left to begin with (ACA) and the hard right that just wants people to die for not being rich enough to afford standard medical procedures. They’re just shuffling the deck chairs at this point. I remain skeptical.

Republicans keep saying they want Democrats to join on to a “reasonable” plan to replace Obamacare with Trumpcare… And are angry at Dems for not joining them…But they never define what “reasonable” is.

Let Us define reasonable when it comes to replacing O-care… The Replacement has to be better.

The only reasonable replacement for Obamacare is something that costs America less and insures more people…

Any plan that insures fewer people and costs Americans more only to benefit the wealthy and dinosaur industries… …is not reasonable…

This is all just a combination of more smoke for the smoke screen and typical trumpian incompetent flailing about.

Latest ideas …an excerpt –

Popular vote loser Donald Trump can’t get enough losing on Trumpcare, so he’s been at it again, first with Sen. Rand Paul on the golf course and then with the Freedom Caucus he had spent last week bashing on Twitter. Apparently the tweet-bashing worked, he got the maniacs to talk to him, and they’re reportedly agreeing on a plan that would break Trump and the Republicans’ biggest promise: protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

No doubt they are working on insurance for everyone that is less expensive and provides better healthcare. “This is about patients” Price said. But he is about as trustworthy as Trump.

So how is letting the states eliminate the Essential coverage really different from the feds eliminating it? Giving the states the power is just Congress’s way of doing the same thing but avoiding the blame.

Oh, now I get it! That’s the feature!

They really are stupid, aren’t they? They’re actually itching for another fight they’re gonna lose (and even if it somehow passes the House will be pretty much DOA in the Senate)?

The GOP would be so much smarter if they just strengthened the ACA – expand Medicaid in all 50 states, drop the Medicare age to 55 or 60, put a serious effort into advertising the enrollment periods, improve the website, etc. etc. – then call it Trumpcare. Sure, the media will point out that they’re supporting the ACA after years of vilifying it, but their voters won’t notice or care. We Democrats will grumble because the GOP would be coopting our legislation, but millions more would receive adequate healthcare coverage, so Democratic senators and reps wouldn’t raise too much of a stink about it.
