Discussion: What The Pro-Choice Movement Could Learn From 40 Days For Life

Discussion for article #228132

ā€œā€¦there was an earnestness that came from those who attended the 40 Days for Life Rally in Minnesotaā€¦ā€

I’d believe a lot more in their earnestness if they showed this much effort to support the needy kids that are not aborted and their mothers that are living a life in poverty everyday. Or if they would protest the death penalty that is used to kill living humans that probably grew up in a home where they weren’t wanted and fell into a life of crime.

I feel like these folks care more about making people, that have done something they think is wrong, suffer the consequences of their actions and less about caring for these unborn people and their mothers.

Carney told the group. ā€œThe men and women seeking abortions need to see that we are for real, that we are not self-righteous Christians out here telling other people how to live. … That we are willing to get out of our comfort zone to save these unborn children.

Don’t worry - You can be both ā€œfor realā€ (Whatever that means) and self-righteous.

These people aren’t getting out of their comfort zone - They are locked down tight inside their comfort zone, and ramming it into other people’s zones.

…and do these ā€˜earnest’ folks scream about the influx of kids from the south?

How many offer to adopt, or be financially responsible for the unwanted ?

Do they not realize that the unwanted infants may be tortured?
That the unwanted may become the victims of abuse?

Live babies feel pain. They starve from neglect. They suffer long term consequences of psychological/physical/verbal abuse.

How do the ā€˜earnest’ people justify those unfortunates?
