Viva las Sanderistas! The future will work, if we work for it!

I’d love to see Bernie pull a massive upset like the New Democratic Party achieved in Alberta, Canada last month.

I will forward this post to all the potential large-donors I know.

Burlington is now widely heralded as an environmentally friendly, lively, and livable city with a thriving economy, including one of the lowest jobless rates in the country.

So, dystopian hellscape?

"He told us not to allow Bernie to have any visible successes. He figured Bernie would be out of office after his first term.”

why does this sound familiar?

Bernie Sanders is a national treasure. A real life George Bailey fighting against an army Mr. Potters.

In any other country a record like this (not to mention his later service in both houses of Congress) would make Sen. Sanders prime material for whatever higher office that country might have to offer. In the US the general consensus is that he does not stand a chance. Too bad for the US.

“Although President Obama recently joked at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner that Sanders is a “pot-smoking socialist,” he was actually a hardworking, pragmatic, effective mayor who helped transform Vermont’s largest city (population: 38,000) into a thriving town.”

…and those are mutually exclusive, HOW?

if he wasn’t the former he probably wouldn’t have been the latter…

sounds like one of Barrack’s stage-door endorsements…

Went to see Bernie speak at the Minneapolis American Indian Center last Sunday morning. He didn’t say anything I hadn’t read from him before, but his Brooklynesque plain manner of speaking and his obvious passion really lit my fuse and I hope that if he doesn’t win the nomination, he at least starts pulling the Overton window to the left far enough for progressives to win back some of their clout in this country.

I’ll never say anything negative about Bernie. Some of his supporters think it’s necessary to tear Clinton down to boost his chances which is a mistake in my opinion but Bernie is the real McCoy.

They say never fall in love with a politician. But I’m liking this guy more and more every day.

Could it happen again to Hillary? A come from nowhere opponent tells the public what it craves to hear. A country run by an honourable government who will always act in the interests of it’s citizens and not just cater to the interests of their major foreign donor block and the 1%. You might as well throw in Hope and Change. Is Bernie lying like Obama did? More importantly, will the public buy it one more time. I say probably because as children growing up it’s the America they were assured they lived in and as adults they’ve always dreamed of living in just such a country. I hope the American public never loses faith in what America could be. I also hope that one day a politician worthy of their faith steps up and makes it happen.

Unfortunately in many other countries now and throughout history a record like Bernie Sanders has would get you shot at the very least. The man is a bit of a rare bird and deserves a fair hearing and honest consideration for the post.

FYI, While I am a strong supporter of BDS and Palestinian rights both Sanders and Clinton march in lockstep with Netanyahu and Israel’s right wing so that’s a wash and all that is left for consideration is who would be best for the American people and that would be Bernie Sanders but only if his promises prove to be more than campaign rhetoric.

Answer, a pretty fricking awesome mayor. The big time is the big time though and if he ever has to deal with the obstructionist teabagger Party, things would be a lot tougher on him. They are bastards.

Bernie can do nothing but help this nation, its been his life’s work and will be his grand finale.
