But seriously, who wouldn’t fuck Hermione Granger?
I agree with comment #1: this story was a bit HuffPo. Not a disaster or anything. But it doesn’t have much to it, and it doesn’t especially play to TPM’s strengths.
Next time if TPM must cover this event, see if Amanda Marcotte wants to go – that would be more interesting, critical, & feminist.
Disappointing to see lower common denominator journalism from TPM. I sent repeated requests to Josh and the tip line cover a real-life gun violence incident in Boston of a prominent heart surgeon beyond AP feeds, and received no reply. Instead we’re getting content like this. This is probably driving TPM’s traffic and revenues, but not its reputation.
Strippers and porn stars inhabit two different universes.
I must disagree, Josh. While sex and its commercialization are indeed two more of many dimensions of life, this article gave us nothing germaine to the topic. We come away unchanged, unenlightened.
This is the first time I’ve seen you or any staff members respond in the comments. (Maybe it happens on Prime where I’m not a member.) I would really enjoy seeing you guys drop in for conversation more often.
This article reads like it was written by a 15 year old girl. Nothing enlightening about it!
There are still porn stars? No one pays for porn …
Mostly because it is illegal.
I missed it. Who won this year for Best Performance by a Female in a Non-Speaking Role?
so wait … she learned that men would grope her if she went to a porn convention? no way!
Look at how she is dressed–purple hair and tattoos. Of course people thought she was a stripper, lol.
