When Democrats say they want the tax return, certainly they must mean the entire tax return including the K-1 and other sub-forms. And I expect them to be very revealing, otherwise no reason for Trump to obfuscate to this extent.
Wouldn’t learn much? What the article describes is pretty impressive, and a good forensic accountant (like Greg Palast) could piece together a lot more. It would be great to give investigative reporters a chance to, ya know, INVESTIGATE.
My guess is that his tax return is going to be enormous, a series of LLPs and corporations that flow through to him, and it’s gonna take a tremendous amount of effort to piece everything together.

Strongly suspect that ultimately what is on file is sanitized (yes- ultimately fraudulent - but initially will appear to be a lot of complex nothing) … all of the withholding of the filings is a delaying / diversion tactic - change the dialog - think Capone’s vault - think the underhanded set of Dan Rather with a packet full of want was supposed to be damning evidence … but then swung around and got painted like Rather was promoting counterfeit information
It’s the K-1s and the returns of the entities themselves (which congress can also get) that will tell you things. If trump’s accountants are smart, he’ll have a minimum of personal income. the money will stay in the enterprise(s), which will have their expenses maximized to keep taxes down. And a lot of his personal expenses (clothing, travel, restaurant meal etc) will be paid by some enterprise or other as a business expense.
Among other things, it will be a lesson in how wealthy people who own businesses can conceal whatever personal stuff they want.

So who were the banks that declined to lend? on what basis did they make their decision? what level of disclosure did he provide if he applied for loans - were those (rejected) applications filled with falsified information?
Well Trump just saved those from burning in one of our many forest fires.
If the returns will not show much, why has Trump spent so much time, money, and most importantly political capital on them?
Why hand the Democrats a weapon when disclosure would neutralize the weapon?

There are two reasons the Donald doesn’t want his tax returns made public. First, it will reveal questionable if not illegal financial obligations. Second, and probably most important to him, they will reveal that he is not a billionaire.

Not mentioned in this piece. Trump’s New Worth. I would bet good money that he has very little net worth. That figure is important as it would be the amount Congress would authorize to pay him to purchase/Eminent Domain his brand (“Trump anything”). This would be an appropriate remedy for his violation of Emoluments Clause. Buy the MOFO’s brand name and keep the IRS office that Mueller got from Cohen to staff a permanent IRS office to audit everyday’s business activity he or his spawn conduct after they get out of jail.
The funniest part of this article is the speculation that Trump has interest from loans made to others. Everybody knows he is in the red, bigly, and the last thing he’s doing is loaning money. LOL!

As for what the forms will reveal – the most important thing for us to remember is that release to Congressional committees isn’t release to the public. It will be good to know that Congress has access to the numbers and leads for their investigations of matters like emoluments, but we are unlikely to get any hints about the contents for a long time, if ever.
