Discussion: What Comes Next After Obama's Major Immigration Loss At SCOTUS

What comes next? Throw the bums out!

I mean, the Republicans. Throw the Republicans out.

This may well be a very good impetus. Fingers crossed.

As soon as the next Justice is seated at the court, the issue can easily be revisited.

First of all, it’s not a loss if it’s 4/4.

That only upheld the lower court, for now. It doesn’t prohibit the SCOTUS from hearing the case once the court is back to 9.

That will happen when HRC is POTUS!

This is a delay, not loss!

Too bad ā€œjournalistsā€ don’t know what they are reporting on!

Hillary locks up the Latino vote in June? Real fear has to be setting in for Hispanics with The Donald closing in on The Dreamers in the same way he has targeted Muslims and blacks. Nothing is going to be done to fix immigration until the American people lose the Republicans for good…all of them including the ones in Congress.

Seems to me that the story that you now have to take to the voters is:

We tried to get immigration reform, but the Republican Congress blocked it at every turn. Given the inaction of Congress, the Democratic President tried to do what he could through executive action. The solution is, vote for Democrats for President and in the House and Senate.

The President’s attempt was blocked by an activist conservative judge and the conservatives on the Supreme Court. The solution is, vote for Democrats for President and the Senate.

Simple! Beat the Republicans over the head with this at every available opportunity. Use it to energize (even more) the Hispanic community to go vote against the Trump hoard and the Republicans who detest Hispanics here.
It will be settled by the Clinton Administration next year.

Add Asian voters to the mix. Trump and Republican approval ratings among Asians range from a high of 22% approval among Vietnamese to 10% approval from Korean Americans.

First of all elEct Hillary Clinton as president of the United states. Then vote straight democrat in novermeber. Then Let Hillary do her think. Kick them right in the balls!!!
I have never been one into face book and crap like that but I joined a few months ago and come to realize that people are stupid as hell. No fucking wonder the gop can get away with the shit they get away with. My dad said to me one day when I was a kids ā€œthe world is not what you think it isā€ He was so right. you know what is really sad? that I gave people the benefit of a doubt. My dad was so right. what is worse is that I am 57 years old and just now giving up on people who just don’t get it.

Right, that should do it. Snap your fingers and there you have it, another liberal SC justice. No problem.

Obama made a promise (2008) that he couldn’t keep. And then failed to admit to it:

Univision anchor Jorge Ramos held Obama accountable for a promise the former Illinois senator made during his 2008 bid for office, when he said, ā€œI can guarantee that we will have, in the first year, an immigration bill that I strongly support.ā€

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/obamas-failed-promise-of-a-first-year-immigration-overhaul/2012/09/25/06997958-0721-11e2-a10c-fa5a255a9258_blog.html

ā€œI want to emphasize ā€˜the first year,’ ā€ Ramos said. ā€œAt the beginning of your governing, you had control of both chambers of Congress, and yet you did not introduce immigration reform. And before I continue, I want for you to acknowledge that you did not keep your promise.ā€

The president acknowledged only that he was naive to think Republicans would negotiate with him on immigration, and he excused his lack of progress on the issue by saying he spent most of his first-year dealing with an economic crisis.

What comes next is eventuality. Eventually, we-the Democrats, will seat another and likely several more SC judges then it’s game over.
And only is it a matter of time before Hillary will follow through on Obama’s actions and most likely expand upon them.

This is last gasp territory for the Repubs and is one of the major backbreakers that they are facing.
Imagine a giant wave heading directly at them and they are stuck with their feet planted in concrete and just waiting for the impact.
Yeah, that’s right where the Repubs are standing.

I forgot how he insults any culture that isn’t Aryan in nature. He’s really made Asia a whipping boy for outsourcing when it was Republicans who introduced the idea and pushed it hard.
