I wonder if the report will identify who asked and convinced the GOP platform committee to lift sanctions on Russia. This has been overlooked for a long time now. I think only a party insider like Pence would have been able to pull this off. Would he have done this on his own or at the request of anyone other than Trump? This is where the Russian collusion was. It should have been investigated, and if it wasn’t, a House committee should ask Mueller why not.

In his comment on the Barr letter, Josh said that Barr and Rosenstein had concluded that “since Mueller failed to “establish” coordination or conspiracy, Trump all but couldn’t be charged with obstruction of an investigation into that question.”

Wah?

Trump was obstructing the CI investigation Comey had initiated.

That was to find out what was what.

Mueller didn’t have to conclude Trump conspired to conclude he obstructed that investigation.

Yeah, this is a head-scratcher for me too. If you are so successful at obstructing - even doing so openly - that you are able to cover up your crime, then you don’t get charged for anything? WTF?
