Trump is like a 400 lb guy sitting in bed , watching Fox News and rage tweeting while simultaneously investing copious amounts of fast food. It is truly an embarrassment that he is president, and that people voted for him, and that the electoral college elected him and that the GOP props him up. It is just fucking embarrassing. Our country is not safe.

His comment about Democrats raising taxes must have been tongue in cheek also. Just about half of Obama’s stimulus package of over 700 billion went to tax cuts in the form of payroll tax relief. Averaged out to about four hundred dollars annually per working person for two years. That’s about $8.00 a week versus Trump’s weekly buck and a half tax cut to working people. Obama also signed the law making Bush’s tax cuts permanent.

I think we’ve handled this latest Trump inflammatory comment just right. There were a few pointed responses, but for the most part people either ignored Trump’s rants or put the onus on the WH to explain them, which caused them to muddle. The stock market + the news about him not wanting to testify mattered more.

When reporters questioned the humor defense, the White House claimed it was a “palindrome”.
In response to push back on that line, the White House claimed it was an “anagram”.
Sources now say the White House plans to release an “acrostic” defense later this afternoon.

What’s funny is that he really was just responding to someone who shouted something out during his rantings, which suggests to me that it’s really past time for us to have created an army of hecklers who follow him about to goad him into saying horrifying things that expose what he’s really thinking and willing to go along with.
