It’s at the brain stem level of intelligence. His lower level neurons fire rapidly when sensing danger, not bothering with the cortical level as that would only slow things down. And I mean that both in an anatomical sense and insultingly.

I’ve often told people who say he must be smart at some level that if he is, then so are most dogs, because many dogs will try to intimidate others but roll over when they realize their antagonist is a real fighter and won’t be intimidated. He functions at that level, I agree. It’s not intelligence or self-discipline. It’s fear, like a guppy or a vole would have. Lizard brain stuff.

Trump ‘Absolutely’ Acknowledges Russia Meddled In 2016 Election
She is so full of shit! He only “acknowledged” it in a half-assed way by blaming Obama for not “doing enough.” And he resolutely refuses to criticize Russia or Putin in any way, shape or form, much less actually do anything about it.
It’s screamingly obvious that Vlad has Donald by the balls. Trump is terrified of the kompromat, whatever it is, coming out. So we have a President who is clearly incapable of conducting aggressive diplomacy, imposing sanctions, or protecting America’s vital interests.
And the GOP Congress will do nothing about it.
I hope that this signals the beginning of the end for the Repubs as “one of our two major political parties.” I know I can never look on the GOP again as anything other than a nest of traitors.
The only historical parallel I can think about that even vaguely corresponds to this is Vichy France: one’s own countrymen and women actively working for and endorsing the policies of a fascist state that despises them and wants to destroy them.
I think the flood of Russian dark money has corrupted vast numbers of the GOP Congress. And they’ve become so un-American that they think it’s a good thing, for them.

He seems to be avoiding actually saying it OUT LOUD. I think as long as he doesn’t say something like “Russia did it,” but instead says I never said they didn’t do it OR he has someone ELSE say it, he maintains some level of fiction and distance that allows him to say to Vlad, “Hey, Bro, I got your back.” He does this all the time with his base, never actually calling them out for their crimes or offending their sensibilities on any issue. He trots out Sarah Huck-Sanders and she spins some tale that offers plausible deniability without ever taking any sort of responsibility and he lives to tweet another day.
Trump never seems to get dirty. He’s a felonious picture of Dorian Gray. His crimes pile higher and higher, but he always avoids prosecution. But his soul is rotted through.

Service dogs for people with all kinds of health issues can sense epileptic attacks, heart issues, all sorts of things. My late beloved Aussie Shepherd, Barkley, stayed oh so close to both one of my best friends and my father when they were battling and eventually lost the war to cancer.
