Discussion: WH: Trump 'Absolutely' Acknowledges Russia Meddled In 2016 Election

“It’s very clear that Russia meddled in the election” and Crooked Hillary still lost. Sad.

Strangely Trump is looking at a bump stock ban and Sessions is starting task force to look into the elections meddling.

When your term paper is due at 8:00 am the next morning, it is time to choose a subject.

Fox, Breitbart, and Daily Stormer will still come, maybe the National Enquirer. They need to get a bead on the latest lies to pass on.

No, you send in your 2nd and 3rd stringers to give them some playing time and see who can land a few shots on the Trump spokesperson. Builds depth for the coming trials.

The purpose the rest of the media serves is keeping it from turning into a Fox News tonguebathing session, which I think is of non-negligible value. If you could get nobody to go, that might be worthwhile, but we’re a few decades beyond the notion of an omnipresent sense of shame among those that would attempt to inform the public.

“Every time he sees me he says, ‘I didn’t do that,’ and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it,” Mr. Trump said of Mr. Putin. “I think he is very insulted by it, which is not a good thing for our country.”

so, when the change from this? “Trump and Putin met several times on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Vietnam. “Every time he sees me, he says, ‘I didn’t do that,’” Trump said. “And I believe, I really believe, that when he tells me that, he means it.””

I suppose you’re right. At least maybe the WWE type confrontations would cease, and things would be a lot less interesting.

Sanderss said "Homeland Security Secretary
Kirstjen Nielsen had met with relevant stakeholders to discuss “this
process and going through and looking every single day at the best ways
forward.”

Excuse me, imposing sanctions of a foreign power is as much, if not more the business of the State Department. Why is Homeland Security taking the lead in this? A why the Hell isn’t Drumpf ordering the immediate imposition of the sanctions that Congress passed?

Can she point to the tweets he made acknowledging Russian interference?

Everybody here knows that Sanders statement is a flat out lie. WaPo even has a long (5 min) video showing Trump lying for the past few years on Russia, and to this day.

“It’s very clear that Russia meddled in the election,” she claimed. “It’s also very clear that it didn’t have an impact on the election

This needs to be challenged more strongly by the press. In order to believe that millions of dollars of advertising and dozens of social media accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers had no impact, you’d have to believe that advertising and social media have no impact on people’s voting choices.

They have taken “no individual votes were changed after they were cast” (probably true) and turned it into “nobody’s voting choice was influenced in the least by the torrent of fake news and bullshit flowing from Russia.”

They need to be called out on this.

I’m intrigued by how the indictments strike them as—what’s a good word—unimpeachable. They’ve certainly denied the obvious truth literally hundreds of times before. And yet when the indictment came out, boom, now they’re believers and they’re offended and become insulting if you dare to suggest they ever thought otherwise. I’ve noticed before that Trump seems to have a grudging wariness about the legal system—he doesn’t lie nearly as boldly when confronted with it and he exhibits an awareness of danger and vulnerability he doesn’t often show in other situations. It could also be that certain people intimidate him, people who have a level of rectitude and simple courage that he senses the power of. (Michelle comes to mind.) Just spitballing but I’m struck by this sudden and total change.

Republicans are such poor judges of character. Bush looked into Putin’s “soul” and came away impressed. Trump claims to have asked Putin directly if Russia interfered and very casually accepted his demurrals…and despite what the American Intelligence community was telling him.

Gee…I’m sure Trump must be furious that Putin lied to his face and made him look even worse the fool…not.

To be fair, Trump is president, so I don’t think we (ie. all of us as a nation) are the sharpest tools in the shed.

That Trump thinks that’s persuasive is just one more way he shows that he thinks everyone else is as big a half-wit as he is. It’s the most moronic assertion by a public official since Inhofe’s snowball.

Nope

Folks would be seeing a 15 minute political promo from Trump, an eight minute ‘immigration’ promo from Miller, and a ten minute favorable q n a to those audience members.

At that point, ill be like, “poor Matt Shuham. Its likely that he doesnt like ‘sports entertainment’, but seeing how its somewhat newsworthy (knock on wood)…”

I guess I missed the tweet where the Orange Toddler acknowledged Russia meddled in our election. His constant cawing “no collusion, no collusion” must have drowned it out.
