Discussion: WH Swats Down Questions About Trump Wanting To Limit Press Access

At first glance I could have sworn the title was:

White House Twats Limiting Press Access

That sounds pretty kinky, actually LOL

Why listen to that ignorant moron? Just heard Brad Todd, who’s written a book about the populist movement called The Great Revolt (snort), say that Trump is one of the least ideological presidents we’ve ever had.

Good grief. The man is devoid of any ideals whatsoever.

No ideology or morals. That is why he was so willing to sign Ryan’s tax bill that is the opposite of what he campaigned on, and to attack any and all people of color, from the NFL & NBA all the way down to the lowliest Salvadoran mother. The only thing he cares about is what makes his base at his rallies applaud.

I always chuckle every time Chris Hayes call Faux News exactly what it is: Trump TV. He hasn’t called it Fox for months.

I wish more people would follow his lead.

BTW With all the porn-star news lately, when will James Guckert, better known as Jeff Gannon, make a comeback?

Stupid says the damnedes things , Leaving his wetnurse Sandra to defend or define what stupid really meant.

Guess We will leave it to history to determine what stupid really meant, since he has immortalized his thoughts on Twitter.

Trump limits “solo access” (except to Stormy Daniels et al) to limit the likelihood he does a Giuliani and digs himself an even deeper hole than Mueller has already excavated.

OT, but this is a dead giveaway: “the company allowed it to lapse early in 2018 and not run the risk of ticking off the president. “It might have caused anger,” this person said.”

Why would Trump be angry? Why would Trump give a fuck about Cohen’s (alleged) personal consulting deals and whether Cohen was getting paid or doing it pro bono or even being stiffed on payments? What the fuck is it to Trump? Nothing. He wouldn’t care at all. Trump would only care if Trump had a personal STAKE in it…specifically in those payments. Novartis has now admitted he did.

I mean, setting aside how ludicrous it is for them to claim that Cohen’s obvious incompetence, know-nothingness and “inability to deliver” doesn’t constitute “cause” for ending a contract that was specifically based on him providing certain services and results, it’s even more ridiculous that they would claim they still paid $1.2M because Trump might get upset over Cohen being stiffed on consulting work. Again, Trump wouldn’t care if that were the case. We know this. We know HIM. It’s just not fathomable that his response to something like that would be anything other than “Mikey, you gotta make better deals and teach people a lesson for stiffing you…but it’s not my problem. I’ve got a country to run and bribes/extortion to manage and this Putin fucker is breathing down my neck for more favors.”

No, here’s what happened: they got to the meeting and it became abundantly clear that they were paying a bribe, not engaged in a shady, walking-the-edge, loophole-style supremely-clever smartest-people-in-the-word end-run that would allow them to claim consulting and lobbying work were performed on their behalf. Cohen is not possessed of the subtlety and sophistication required to pull off faking it and is, instead, possessed of the overconfident criminal swagger that would lead him to believe that Novartis was simply “all in” from the get go. He therefore met with them and treated it as a strategy session for “you pay me this, I get you that through Trump”. Heck, Cohen probably even tried to milk them for more. When they backed out, saying “holy shit, I think we might already be in trouble, but let’s not make this worse”, they were told in no uncertain terms that BRIBES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE and it would be a shame if Trump had to “remind” them of that somehow if the payments stopped.

It’s way past time that the press should have stopped attending briefings and other Trump events. All Trump and his spokespeople ever do is lie. They use their lies to control the narrative. And, they lie so much that it’s impossible to follow up on one lie before they tell 5 more. Quit covering the briefings. Cover the facts.

Sanders continued by saying that “at the same time, the press has a responsibility to put out accurate information.”

“at the same time, the press secretary has a responsibility to put out accurate information.” fixed it.

I wouldn’t characterize Sarah’s response as 'Swatting Down", simply said she misdirected, I.e. she didn’t answer the question.

By only being able speak to her and her continuing to know nothing or deliberately mislead, I think press access has, by default, already been limited.

That’s why the leakers inside the WH have become a cohesive force. Whoever they are, they know the public needs and wants to know the truth behind the issues, and Ma Hamhock’s just wasting their time. They’re also not going quit working at the WH because nobody wants to hire them.

I hope that if Trump does this to anyone that the rest of them would get up and walk out in the middle of the presser. Why they bother to go there anyway is hard to grasp, the bitch either lies or says she hasn’t spoken to the president about that. And that can mean any topic. She seems to spend a lot of time with him.

That is not a nice way to talk to a lady. Oh, wait…your talking to Sarah Huckster…never mind.

It’s the Big Lie technique, it only works if you let it. It’s all they got.

Have a good opthamologist on speed dial.

Ivanka’s got this area covered. She told an interviewer who asked her about the accusations that her father assaulted woman that it was inappropriate to ask her about it. Because they’ve had a close, loving relationship all along.
