I can safely predict more “winning.” I almost feel bad for General Kelly; I don’t think he knows what he is in for, but he’ll soon find out he is no longer “in command” of anything.

I don’t understand why General Kelly would take the job without discussing the parameters of his authority and responsibilities. This is a setup for failure and you just know he’ll be the fall guy. I thought he was smarter than this.

Maybe this is the easiest way to exit this administration. I think Kelly found the right portal or wormhole to get to the other side. You can’t quit as head of DHS as easily as you can from this new position. Odds are, you’ll be kicked out before you even get your office phone working properly as Chief of Staff. Win-win.
Also, anyone that agreed to work for Putt Putt from the beginning can’t be all that smart. He scrapes the bottom of the barrel from all I can tell. Gen. Kelly liked the authoritarian role he’d have of going after immigrants, both legal and illegal. I’m not so sure he’s done much else at DHS in the months he was in charge of that behemoth multi-agency.
