Discussion: WH Spox: The GOP Debate 'Reminded Me Of A Tough Day At The Airport'

Discussion for article #240676

Hmmmm…yep, tough day at the airport indeed. And they were all on American Airlines which was shut down this morning…

I’ve read someone describing it as like watching mental health patients, without their medications, try to put on a talent show.

These guys were bewildered, desperate and pissed off in general.

It looked like a meeting of a small-town city council after the Little Big Horn.

The airport to Hell.

Here was a ā€œtough day at the airport.ā€:

Try 9/11/2001 around 11a, eastern time, when all the flights were grounded because the ā€˜President That Kept Us Safe’ disregarded a transmission about someone wanting to attack buildings in the US.

That’s a tough day at the airport.

Or maybe having been a passenger on one of those planes.

And Carter has been shit on by the GOP going on 34 years for using the word ā€œmalaiseā€ to describe America. Yet, day after day, Trump defines America as country full of depressed losers, dumber than the people in Mexico and China, while insulting the other half of the electorate by saying they elect stupid leaders…and the bumpkins eat it up.

Great line by the Press Secretary. I was wondering why they had that freaking plane behind them too. After all, it is no longer Air Force 1. Obama should continue with this I-don’t-give-a-crap attitude, and herald the abject fear-mongering and negativity from the GOP. Should have happened sooner (by ALL Democrats).

A word he Did. Not. Use.

Judging by their wild sometime paranoid rhetoric and inability to keep from lying, I’m wondering if we really are watching mental health patients, without their medications.

"But what we didn’t see is we didn’t see a lot of the sunny optimism that is typical of the President whose library they stood in.ā€

That’s a beautiful line. And it’s going to drive the GOP crazy, which makes me like it even more.

Excellent analogy!

Angry white guys (and their token gal), standing in line, grouching and whining.

That sums it up perfectly!

That plane was loaned to the Museum of National Bankruptcy on the promise that it would not be used for political purposes.

What about Dr. Ben?

There’s an asshat comedian/actor who since 2009 has been telling people he survived the attack while on the job at Merrill Lynch on the 54th floor. All lies, which he recently copped to. He capitalized on this tragedy, found work on TV, and it was all bullshit. He thanks bush every day for the leg up.

Dr. Ben Carson looked like he confused his One-A-Day vitamin with Lunesta; he was barely able to keep his eyes open and talked in sleepy non-sequiturs.

money.cnn.com said it was the most watched CNN program ever with 23 million viewers. They don’t care if it had substance because they had the eyes and the advertisers were happy. But the public’s just a little more stupid than when it began.

Is this a Larry Craig dig?

BAD DAY at the airport, HELL, they’re still in transit to the airport at the back of TRUMPS BUS. It’s hard to say if any will FLY any time soon, DONALD keep’em pretty much grounded, HE sucks the wind from beneath their wings, I doubt very much that any will gain enough speed to get off the ground to gain enough altitude to be where Donald flies you know UPTHERE WHERE ONLY PIG CAN FLY.

There is hope because half of those viewers were liberals who planned ahead, popped the popcorn, bought the beer, and settled in for a great night of comedy.
