The fact that nobody thought it was funny does not prove that it wasnât a joke. The fact that he wasnât joking is what proves it wasnât a joke.
I should have expected this but, right now, MSNBC and other news outlets are shifting the blame for all of this to President Obama. âWhat did he know and when did he know it?â They are taking Trumpâs tweet and running with it - but we know the entire media would have screamed bloody murder and attacked him mercilessly for politicizing the election if the President had intervened in some way.
âAn adversary of the United States engaged in malicious cyber activity to destabilize our democracy.â
GOP: âYou say that like itâs a bad thingâŚâ
As much of the report from the intelligence agencies as possible should be made public ASAP. GOP members of Congress need to be confronted over and over for comment about the Russian hacking and the friends of Vlad who have been chosen to serve in the Trump maladministration. Paul Manafort is not officially part of the Trump transition team, but I would not count him out as having access to the team and even to Trump himself, since he likes to answer the phone.
Well, who is more to blame - one guy who was trying above all else to prevent the country from spiraling into chaos, or thousands of journalists who were too busy with their heads up their asses to sound the alarms? A few people did great reporting on this, and a few others helped spread the word, but the MSM itself should be sued for utter incompetence.
I think there will be a lot of intel leaking over the next four years.
Russia was doing more than that during the election cycle. The whole 2016 election may have been rigged.
It is quite possible that the Republican party establishment nationally and across the states may have been infiltrated or influenced by the Russians. I would not be surprised if the FBI has been infiltrated as well. Nothing else would explain the abrupt change in fortunes of the Russians and the CIA among Republicans.
Furthermore, the owner of Diebold, the major maker of voting machines is a staunch Trump ally. Since the defeat in 2012, the Republican party has invested heavily in programmers who might be moonlighting to hack into voting machines. Elections are won and lost at the voting machine.
Notably, ivanka Trump spent her summer vacation last year vacationing with Putinâs mistress in a former Soviet vassal state.
Reading between the lines of lateâŚPutin obviously knew, Trump obviously knew.
In light of the Charleston guilty verdict and the looming possibility of the first Federal execution since McVeigh all coupled with an Earth-shakingly fresh Federal oath taking, how deep and how interpersonal was the VIP hacking knowledge?
Honey pots arenât just for Winnie-the-PoohâŚ
Iâm going to miss Josh Earnest.
They think they hide within the avalanche of crapâŚ
A foreign power just acted to influence the election of our President for fck sake! Scrub the intel of partisan analysis and release the details to the American people. Now.
Josh, Josh, Josh. Herr Coir Coif is a comedy (actually a tragi-comedy) not a comedian. You canât expect him to deliver his punchlines like Larry the Cable Guy.
OT but cool.

Not just the media. The electorate probably would have reacted the same way; nothing would have fired up the Trump voters more and it would have given the BernieBros something else to whine about.
The real question for me, howeverâŚis why hasnât Obama fired Comey? The only reason I can come up with is he is waiting to do that procedural end run around McConnell to get Garland appointed to SCOTUS, and doesnât want to risk any on the fence Dems. But I have a hard time seeing who those are.
The media would have been totally cool with martial law and a stalled election until the Russian thing was squared awayâŚMika & Joe would have totally supported Mr. Obama in this, what, right before or during the GOP Convention? /s
On the off topic of those who âobviously [did not] knowâ, I was surprised at this recent Pew report that 54% havenât heard of âalt-rightâ, and of those who have heard of alt-right, 30% do not know what it means.
âA majority (54%) of U.S. adults say they have heard ânothing at allâ about the âalt-rightâ movement and another 28% have heard only âa littleâ about it, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. Just 17% say they have heard âa lotâ about the movement.â

These people have elected an alt-right President whose Senior Advisor (Bannon) is Mr Alt-Right, and nobody who voted for this guy knows what it means? Jebus.
It takes a while to rename something like that. But it offended the sensibilities of the media to call them racists, misogynists, neo nazis, etcâŚso they went with alt-right.
