Even Trump can come down on the right side once in while, no matter how hard he tries not to.

(Course, the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.)

Definitely the Right: Just like Maduro says, the U.S. is intervening to destabilize Venezuela to get a U.S. friendly government.

Consider the above to this…

Trump has been pretty quiet on the Russia front this week. Pence is acting “presidential” though attributing it to Trump. And that I do not believe. Too much is churning again. Something is up.

And that’s worked so well over the last 15 years.

What we really need is a good war somewhere! One that will get us winning again!

I suppose I’m not the only one who noticed we’re mad at Maduro for holding a rigged election aimed at doing what Trump, the Bannonites and the Kochspiracy against democracy want to do and are actively trying to do?

Maduro is an illegitimate authoritarian thug trying to rig his country’s government and elections to thwart the will of the majority. The ostensible leftist ideology is a sham. The underlying populist/nationalist sham democracy is the reality. For Trump to sanction him for trying to do what Trump, Bannon and the Kochs are trying to do here is hypocritical, but spare me the Sandalista blather.

Yes but let me say…only Americans agree with America on this. No one thinks Maduo is doing good things. All of South America is on board with that. But what Latin America does not agree with is the USA’s big daddy approach to it. Franky, it’s none of the USA’s biz. Sanctioning the oil sector, in a flagging failing oil dependent economy is just going to make things worse for “the wonderful people of Venezuela” and they will know right where to place the blame. American Conservatives and fake ones like Trump see an opportunity in the crisis in Venezuela. An opportunity to move the country to the right and to put it back in play for America ( Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world ). The former leader of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, said the bennie in a Trump win would be a reactionary move to the Left in Latin America. He knew Trump would play the Venezuelan situation and he knew he would do it in a way that ensured a loss. That’s what you are seeing now. Unwanted meddling and obvious manipulation by America. I can’t tell you how much folks south of the Rio Grande hate that. Trumpism is never going to work in the Latin world.

America…give it up. The folks to your south know when you are trying to help them or help yourself.
