I listened to an interesting episode of the Hidden Brain podcast from NPR on Saturday. It was about how sexual abuse allegations against a playwright made in the early 1990s went nowhere but recent allegations against him that were similar made a huge impact and got him removed.

One of the theories is that the Me Too movement is a reaction to the election of a sexual predator to the White House. Women can’t necessarily do anything about him— but they can do something about someone they know personally and who has abused them.
