Idiot Mnunchin came with a tax reform proposal in a single page… what kind of BS is that? lazy bastards don’t want to work at all.
Well, that should be a relief to all the burger flipper’s at McDonalds. Their 401(k)'s will be safe…
Shorter version:
We haven’t got a fucking clue
Making it up as we go along you know because there is no actual “Plan”
Just a couple of sheets of paper with trickle down economics brain farts recorded for posterity
“… no administration official has proposed changing their tax treatment yet.”
yet
With this ongoing fiasco in full display, I’m surprised Trump has declared bankruptcy only 6 times.
Next time I go to buy a car, here’s my negotiating strategy based on what WH is doing:
- let the salesman and his manager know I’m desperate to buy a car
- create a ridiculous bluff, then back down when called on it
- buy everything they offer me such as undercoating and extended warranty so I don’t lose the deal
If I was president, and somebody had presented me with a plan that seems to be drawn by drunken bankers in the back of bar napkin , you would seen the idiot in the hall walking funny and looking for needle-nosed pliers.
The White House on Thursday quickly corrected
“Yeah. We’ve got a macro to start that sentence, too.”
What has Steve “Austin Powers double” Mnuchin been doing all this time? There were roughly 1,000 pages missing from that tax reform “plan” yesterday.
I’m sorry…but can we quit calling this a tax plan. This is a sideshow and a distraction. This is just more bullshit. Its never gonna happen and if it ever does, they have a long way to go before this piece of shit below turns into anything substantial…which I don’t think has a snowball’s chance in hell of ever becoming law.
Yeah, they printed it on paper because they ran out of paper napkins.
Haha, that last section under “process” is hysterical. They’re going to talk to people.
Stakeholders or Steakholders? Either way, sounds more like stockholders and Fortune 500 board directors than stakeholders to me.
In fairness, Sean Spicer has no idea what a 401(k) is having first heard the term when the question was asked.
First of all, weren’t they counting on healthcare reform to pave the way for their tax reform? Without the one, they probably can’t do the other.
Secondly, I’ve seen better and more detailed tax plans drawn up on a cocktail napkin by a couple of drunk guys at the local bar.
sure you will not tRUmpian whores, I believe this statement with the same level of confidence as every other lie to be emitted from this group.
they just keep trying to sell the Brooklyn Bridge, over and over and over again
As James Pethokoukis said:
So what Trump has done is offered a cobbled-together, detail-light plan that is sub-optimal for growth while also managing to generate a tidal wave of red ink.
I was thinking that for having no details whatsoever they managed to be oddly specific about certain points. Not lowering the corporate rate to somewhere between 10 and 20%, but 15% exactly.
That’s not laziness; it’s the result of a panicked boss saying, “I need something right now and I don’t give a shit as to what it actually is.” I’ve been in that situation a couple of times in my career. Needless to say, I moved on as quickly as I could.
