Democrats need to start hammering the Republicans that the reason why working Americans are on food stamps and other programs like the ACA is that the minimum wage hasnât increased nationally for decades!
If the GOP wants to cut assistance programs the solution is simple - stop using the program to subsidize the labor costs for businesses.
And when the GOP starts whining about this proposal, Dems need to point out that since the GOP promised all Americans that wages were going to increase significantly because of their tax cut - making these raises part of public law shouldnât be a problem (if they were telling the truth)âŚ

What can be done via Executive action can be similarly undone, but this is unconscionable. Especially coming from a President whoâs taken millions of dollars of public money from local governments, violates the Emoluments laws on a regular basis, and refuses to pay his debts.

(The royal) We are already slicing and dicing programs that help anyone not a member of the oligarchy, also under the guise of fiscal responsibility. This time we are openly targeting a sub-group.
