Whiplash from the mixed messaging. Explain the divergent messaging/intent (two words: Stephen Miller?) between the WH (PACK!) and Trump (If Congress doesn’t act, like I have just challenged them to, I will reconsider… maybe.)

Beyond cruel to the Dreamers.

F-ed up state of affairs - in the new state of perpetual insanity of the united states.

“The Department of Homeland Security urges DACA recipients to use the time remaining on their work authorizations to prepare for and arrange their departure from the United States — including proactively seeking travel documentation — or to apply for other immigration benefits for which they may be eligible,” the document said, which ABC obtained and confirmed with two congressional sources and one White House official.

My (close relative´s) husband in an early DACA kid who was able to (safely?) marry because they had evidence of a long-term relationship. His brother married, before Trump was inaugurated, as well. But their sister was younger, and was not in a relationship, so she did not marry. She is in college now. She has never been to Mexico, grew up here all her remembered life, and speaks English as her first language. She would be deported to a country that she has never been, and in which she has no close relatives anymore. Were she to return, she would have nothing, and could not work, save perhaps in an off-shored customer service call center staffed by similarly deported English speaking former residents of the US.

The humanity of the advice to get her papers in order is noted.

What a two-faced, lying sack of shit the Current Occupant and his whole gang of vicious, racist thugs are. You literally cannot trust one single word that comes out of his mouth. Not one. Not ever.

I’d say it’s unbelievable, but unfortunately, as we have learned over the past months, it’s entirely too believable.

If you didn’t catch it last night Maddow gave an excellent historical background tying this to eugenics in the 20’s which Klu Klux Keebler Elf lovingly referred to as good times. That’s where they are folks. This is the United States of America in the 21st century. WHAT.THE.FUCK!

It’s now all about keeping his base in line. And that means, always appeal to the lowest common denominator.

I sure hope this gets big media play.

We are watching a campaign of ethnic cleansing, a mixture of thuggish, racially motivated police operations (ICE, Arpaio) backed up by a perverted bureaucracy deploying language that is chillingly separated from the human signified. We will soon see an Anne Frank type situation in which people will be secretly housing families and children threatened by deportation. Trump’s America. Correction: the GOP’s America.

The White House memo doesn’t “break” with Trump. He has no intention of doing anything to protect Dreamers from their cruel fate. He enjoys it.

“Even though it’s more predictable,” he probably says, “this is almost as exciting as WWE.”

Actually that recommendation that the Dreamers prepare for deportation was the responsible thing for them to do in the face of the Trumpster’s decision. In the meantime we all have to tie this decision as tightly as we can to our Republican members of congress. Now explain to me why we can’t get immigration reform? Also explain to me just who is in favor of deporting the Dreamers?

Here’s that weird-ass chart see put up a couple of times.
I don’t quite understand how to read it. But that doesn’t make it any less creepy.

I think if you put Trump in charge of running a Quick-mart it would run out of coffee and snacks inside of a week.

As they’re being deported to countries they’ve never known, the Dreamers can take comfort that PotUS was ‘conflicted’ to the end.
