It’s amazing, all these mountains of coincidental connections in the Trump universe. Whitefish, WhiteHouse, WhiteRussians, WhiteLies… None of them mean anything, no, really. All coincidence. So says the WHouse ethics Czarina,

This is a contract that was determined by the local authorities in Puerto Rico, not something that the federal government played a role in,” Sanders said at a press briefing Friday, asked if the White House was concerned about the deal. “But as we understand, there is an ongoing audit and we’ll look forward to seeing the results of that later.”

She added, asked about Trump’s donors’ ties to the company: “The federal government has nothing to do with this contract or the process. This was something solely determined by the Puerto Rican government

Ma Hamhock’s faux-protestations assure us that the Trump administration is deeply involved in this no-bid contract scam.

Really? Their argument is that PR authorities were given carte blanche to determine how $300M of our taxpayer dollars would be spent?

This isn’t even remotely believable. It doesn’t even pass the giggle test.

That’s absurd, and I feel comfortable saying the courts would find such nonsense provisions are void as a matter of public policy. Of course, I’ll now be proven wrong by some elected GOP-appointed judge.

Then what’s the point of a White House? Let’s just shut it down now.

The contract was granted not by the PR government but by PREPA, the creditors’ committee established by an act of Congress to oversee Puerto Rico’s bankruptcy. Roselló, the governor, has called for an audit of the contract.

Except for the minor fact that the contract forbids audits/accounting follow up for Whitefish Energy Sarah…what about that?
