“I think it’s disgusting and absurd to suggest that anyone inside of this building would support slavery.”
I guess that means Trump and Kelly weren’t in the building.
And she still didn’t answer whether they think slavery was wrong …
SHS is “disgusted”?
I think it’s disgusting and absurd that in 2017 asking whether or not the administration supports slavery is a perfectly valid and reasonable line of inquiry.
I’d be curious to know when was the last time a White House had to deny it supported slavery.
“I think it’s disgusting and absurd to suggest that anyone inside of this building would support slavery. Now excuse me, April, since I have to join President Trump and Attorney General Sessions in sipping some mint juleps while the darkies serenade us in the Rose Garden."
Look, I’m not going to get in and relitigate the Civil War.
DOIN’ A GREAT JOB PRESS-SECRETARY’IN, SARAH
DEFINITELY NOT CREATING PR PROBLEMS RATHER THAN SOLVING THEM
“I think it’s disgusting and absurd to suggest that words used by members of this administration actually mean what they actually mean.”
Monday?
Disgusting and absurd, yes. But wrong? Nope.
“I think it’s disgusting and absurd to suggest that anyone inside of this building would support slavery,” - Sarah Hungryfortacos Sanders, White House Press Secretary
“Ohh, I refuse to speak of disgusting things, because they disgust me!”, - Mrs. Bates, “Psycho” (1960)
In case you are confused, Mrs. Bates is the svelte and attractive one:
Supporting history that advocated for slavery isn’t supporting slavery?
The bile spewing witch from Ouachita, strikes again…
Lord help us!!!
Tomorrow:
WH: ‘Disgusting And Absurd To Suggest’ That Anyone In Admin Supports Cannibalism.
I just watched the exchange between April Ryan and SHS. SHS clearly did not want to answer any questions about Kelly’s misstatement of history. What struck was her demeanor. Condescension oozed out of every word. She was the one that was/is disgusting.
Now don’t mind me while I hang this portrait of Chief Justice Taney on the front of the podium.
@robcat2075 The Andrew Johnson administration?
Ma Hamhock better be careful when she chews nails and spits out tacks. She might take out someone’s eye.
Ryan tried to ask the question again on Wednesday, which led to a contentious back-and-forth with Sanders. Ryan initially asked what the White House thinks is the definition of compromise as it relates to slavery and the Civil War.
I think the fact that a) Ryan had to ask the question at all, but very much b) the WH took so long to answer and took pains to avoid answering, tell you everything you need to know.
Though methinks if they could get slavery instated today it would be all minorities and anyone (including whites) making under $100,000 who would qualify as slaves.
Almost 20% of Trump voters disagree with Lincoln freeing the slaves.
By definition, that’s one of every five people in that building.
At some point, the press should stop attending these briefings and just ‘cut and paste’ her lies.
