the military isnā€™t supposed to be used for domestic policingā€¦ is Cheeto Donnie finally declaring martial law? when does he suspend the Constitution?

The Posse Comitatus Act does not apply to the National Guard.

Well, that explains his ā€˜depletedā€™ talk: No Tasers !

yeah, but wait until the governors give him the finger and tellā€™em heā€™s on his ownā€¦

Thanks, I was wondering about that.

And his base would cheer.

There are few people in this world that are worthy of irredeemable hated. Trump and his cabal are such people.

Thereā€™s a bunch of Republican governors in the area covered.

Very true:

ā€˜Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution (the Militia
Clause) also authorizes use of the National Guard under continuing state control but in the service of the federal government toā€œexecute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel
invasions.ā€
These provisions are unique to the National Guard.ā€™

This is part of a push, including the rally this wknd to rile up the base.

I donā€™t like to go full Godwin, but this is getting close to some next level round up the designated hate targets shit.

Is he going to put the National Guard troops in some nice new uniforms? Maybe brown shirts or a nice black number from Hugo Boss?

And so it beginsā€¦

How do you say ā€œKristallnachtā€ in Spanish?

Wow. Heā€™s going full Hitler on this one.

I doubt the Governor of California will deploy the National Guard and this might be a good reason to vote out the Governors of all those other Republican-led states that do.

Fuck this shit. This is insane. Just remember you Orange Crush loversā€¦the revolution will be televised the moment these states do this. Its bad enough to deploy the National Guard during a riot, but to go after innocent people, this is crazy. Even during the riots, the National Guard were not allowed to do law enforcement as I recall.

Iā€™d actually like to see confirmation that this is real. Not that I donā€™t think trump would go there, but this really needs to be confirmed.

EDIT: Link to the original AP story:

Not up on applicable statutes, but when Gov. Fatuous mobilized the Arkansas Guard to block school integration, President Eisenhower mobilized the Arkansas Guard ā€“ making them federal troops, thus taking them out of the control of the governor.

So just publish the 11-page document on Scribd and let people wee if it ā€œwasnā€™tā€ an Administration document.

Many of them will fear economic retribution for not going along with his pogrom, something Comrade Chaos has already promised (see: sanctuary cities). Others will dive headlong into this whole hog; thereā€™re a lot of willfully stupid burghers out there.

The irony is that many governors will find this to be a great idea until they discover that it cripples their stateā€™s economies, beginning with the agricultural sector and rippling upwards. Itā€™s already happened in a number of states.

Really? If by ā€œconsidersā€ you mean blurts out volatile round of mouth diarrhea, I guess so. I find it extremely hard to believe the Orange House, let alone Hair Twitler, actually ā€œconsidersā€ a god damned thing. Ever.

***ā€œIt is irresponsible to be saying this,***ā€ Spicer told reporters on Air Force One Friday, according to a White House pool report. Spicer also denied that any document the AP had obtained is a White House document.
