"… let me be very clear on this. The fact that you’re basically accusing the President of being complicit in a school shooting is outrageous.”

Didn’t Trump have a word or two to say about Democrats’ being complicit in murders committed by undocumented immigrants a few days ago?

What goes around comes around.

Beyond that, Trump and his whole corrupt bought and paid for party really are complicit.

No, the fact that she is twisting the reporter’s words to fit her own stupid narrative is "outrageous.’ But then, it’s a day that ends with a “y” so Sarah is lying. I read the question; the reporter simply asked what the president* was going to do about it, not in any way accusing him of complicity. She is maddening.

contending with “two years of increased violence prior to the President taking office.”

Actually, Hamhock, it was only 18 months. Cockholster didn’t announce his candidacy until June 16, 2015.

“The fact that you’re basically accusing the President of being complicit in a school shooting is outrageous.”

Alexander did not make that accusation, though I may wish he had. He raised a good question and Ms. Sanders responded with murk and obfuscation.

“I’m not accusing the President of anything,” Alexander replied.

Not exactly.

Before saying that, he pointed out that it was Trump who accused Democrats of being complicit in crimes allegedly committed by immigrants.

Ooooh, somebody struck a nerve.

And, I guess they are doing “everything they can to prevent these types of things.” Except reasonable restrictions on gun purchases, ownership and safety…and addressing the wave of white males committing mass shootings throughout the country.

Better than that, he asked what Trump has done about it since last October.

"Will the President come before the nation and tell Americans how he feels about this issue and try to do what he can with the bully pulpit to help - "

If we game out what Trump’s televised response would be, we could anticipate him standing up before a microphone, shrugging, indicating how awful mass shootings are, contradicting himself by speculating that some spree shooters are good people, then stepping away. In other words, we all already know that Trump will say and do nothing about this. But if he does, it will be the worst possible thing to do or say.

Alexander knew all of that when he asked. Sanders was upset because, as dumb as she can be, she recognized what everyone else saw, that Alexander’s question was entirely rhetorical.

That’s all there is to this exchange, really.

About a half dozen female porn stars have died in the last year. I’m betting they all succumbed to the “Ugh, here we go” syndrome. And we all know who started that…

I think that’s right. The NRA is crouching silently somewhere hoping no one can find it. Sanders knew she was going to be asked, so she came prepared with a bucket of moonshine, but Alexander wouldn’t have any of it. She got annoyed.

This is how I’d like them to phrase all questions: What has he actually done?

Trump did say that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue. Ok he hasn’t, so that means he’s not complicit.

“White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday accused a reporter of suggesting that President Donald Trump is ‘complicit’ in school shootings after the reporter asked what Trump intends to do about the issue.”

“Later, when a CBS reporter asked what Trump intends to do about Medicare, she accused him of suggesting the president was ‘savagely stabbing Grandma with a spork, and eating her liver’.”

“After a Times reporter asked what Trump intends to do about DACA, she accused him of suggesting the president was ‘flaying Dreamers alive, and dancing around the Oval Office in their skins’.”

“Finally, when a Politico reporter asked what Trump intends to do at Davos, she accused him of suggesting the president was ‘launching coal miners from a trebuchet, and skeet shooting them, just to watch them die’.”

This is already a “Lost Presidency”; why waste breath asking if this utter failure will ever say/do/think the right thing? It truly is like trying to get Evian from a sewer pipe. The press keeps asking the same questions as if suddenly there’s going to be a new answer. Trump is a fucking sociopath and narcissist; he doesn’t care about the shooting victims; he cares about one thing: Donald Trump. All of this is getting so god damned old and depressing.
