Discussion: WH Cautious On Revelation That Trump Team Info Was 'Incidentally Collected'

From his presser, he came to some revelation after reading IC reports. And it sounds like his concerns are that the IC went off the reservation. With all of their talk of leak as the crime, is this the beginning of the coverup attempt. Nunes will be briefing Trump and he didn’t talk to Schiff about it.

Edit: apparently also briefed Ryan.

I wonder if Schiff will call a presser. He’ll certainly have a blistering response, one which could curdle milk.

FOX: Our apologies to great Judge Andrew Napolitano.

How does this relate to trump’s insistence that Obama personally wire tapped him? And this is aside from anything to do with Russia in the 1st place. If foreigners were surveilled under a FISA warrant then of course whoever those foreigners spoke with will get swept up into the surveillance. Apparently trump people or DT hisself (oh that’d be a good one) are on tape discussing something. Maybe important, maybe not at this point. At any rate I still think Obama had zero influence on the surveillance.

I think there are about to be some trump tweeters. Yeesh!

If anything FISA-related was amiss, Comey would’ve said that 2 days ago.

Panic is not a good look for Nunes right now. Prediction: Schiff will find TV cameras soon and hammer Nunes for this behavior.

precisely why he should have recused himself.

We need an independent commission or a special prosecutor. Soonest.

We need both, like the Watergate days…
I still want to know how this relates to Obama personally running a wiretap on trump. Nunes is harping on the fact this has nothing to do with Russia…well trump’s tweet also had nothing to do with Russia and everything to do with his personal feelings toward Obama.
The legal deal here is the President isn’t involved in surveillance of Americans…or foreigners for that matter.

Too much fun taking away civil rights from people in a weaker position to worry about a little thing like the Siberian president, right? Gotta love Republican Jesus.

So, Trump administration and/or campaign officials were in contact with agents of a foreign government, while that government was interfering in the US presidential election.

Actually - yes. I started to say that. We do and now. Since Nunes came out and admitted now that there was a FISA warrant on Trump Tower and Trump may have been swept up in the surveillance, we’ve reached a pretty critical point in all of this and I think from here on out it just gets worse for the administration.

But mainly, we, the American people, should have the answers and not only that, we should be able to trust the answers we get.

I guess we should flood Congress with demands.

How did Nunes ever get to be chairman of the Intel committee? This is another Ryan blunder, even when you ignore the Trumptanic.

Once Nunes has talked to Trump we call all be assured of a torrent of blindingly stupid tweets wholly unrelated to anything actually happening on planet Earth.

Is that what the deal will be? You give us Gorsuch, we’ll give you trump’s head on a pike?

Nunes, as a member of the Trump Transition sounds like he’s trying to get ahead of this unfolding scandal. I.e., “I’m coming out with the info. Why would I do this if I was involved? I was just the piano player and had no idea what was going on upstairs.”

Nothing but nothing surprises me anymore.

The sticky point here is the GOP controls both the Senate and the House so a special prosecutor and a select committee are sadly unlikely…unless this gets so smelly and foul and overwhelmingly obviously a crime of epic size and scope that they’re forced into dealing with it. From what little i can glean from searching the web and listening to those who are better searchers than me … it is … in spades. By a couple trillion rubles into dollars.
