IMO His appointment was a shout-out to the Freedom Caucus, and he talks loud and says little or nothing that might have real consequences. Worse than Ryan. The only reason Trump Administration is talking to Democrats is they know the Freedumb Caucus wants to see America shut down. When are we going to admit that America now has three parties and the Democrats are the largest. The Republican/Freedom Coalition isn’t really holding together these days.

The current GOP is a disparate collection of disaffected people all of whom rail against the government but for different and often contradictory reasons. It was an effective coalition when it was united by opposition to anything and everything supported by Obama and the Democrats but self-destructive when it is charged with governing.
