Discussion: WH Budget Chief: We're Just 'Asking For Our Priorities' In Must-Pass Spending Bill

Take that money you don’t have to spend on a wall you don’t need, and put it towards research on dementia.

These morons DON’T HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE FUCK THEY ARE DOING!

Oh. Your. God.

He sends up a list of “priorities” and that’s it? He leaves the hard work up to Paul Ryan (oh your God again) and expects something to get done?

This is because Trump is terrified of a repeat of the “ACHA” debacle, which is assured with these morons in charge.

Before Trump Mick Mulvaney was known as a back bench Tea Party firebrand. You can’t expect him to know how to pass a bill, can you? If you can, let me tell you he doesn’t. The level of political incompetence in this administration is far and away its most dangerous trait.

Snark off
I’ve seen it asserted Mickey Mouth is dangerous. I do not think so. IMO His appointment was a shout-out to the Freedom Caucus, and he talks loud and says little or nothing that might have real consequences. Worse than Ryan. But the GOPers love to see him taunt the Democrats/Liberals/whatever. He’s probably rubbing his hands right now about all the money he’ll make from the Kochs or the KStreet crowd .

Here’s our counter-proposal, Mulvaney: Nothing.

Furthermore, fuck you.

Not even the fee for the gaming license, which I would appreciate if you would put up.

“We are asking for our priorities and, importantly, we are offering to give Democrats some of their priorities as well,” Mulvaney said on “Fox News Sunday.”

It’s good to want things, Mick. Keep clapping, and maybe Tinkerbell won’t die after all.

The only reason Trump Administration is talking to Democrats is they know the Freedumb Caucus wants to see America shut down. When are we going to admit that America now has three parties and the Democrats are the largest. The Republican/Freedom Coalition isn’t really holding together these days.

“Mulvaney cited an offer he made to Democratic lawmakers last week for “$1 of CSR payments for $1 of wall payments,”

" “Donald Trump’s administration is a complete and utter disaster. And Paul Ryan’s leadership is so lackluster and weak,” Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), a frequent thorn in his own leadership’s side, said in an interview. “I think we’re seeing a resurgence in the Democratic Party.”

House Democrats are ready to flex their muscles, providing a list of demands Republicans must meet if they want Democratic votes to keep the government running beyond Friday. And they could be key players on tax reform and infrastructure in the coming months, if Trump ends up needing bipartisan buy-in."

Just when you thought things had calmed down…

North Korea is “ready to sink” a US aircraft carrier heading for the peninsula, state media have said.
A commentary in the Rodong Sinmun newspaper warned that the USS Carl Vinson could be sunk “with a single strike”.
A battle group headed by the Vinson is expected off the peninsula this week.

Just put Mitch McConnell’s (to paraphrase), “our main priority is to make Obama a one-term President” on a loop, and send it to Mulvaney.

Freedom Caucus guy like him ought to appreciate it.

Hmm…we don’t know where it is, but they do? Great leadership we have.

I’m getting a little tired of seeing, “Have you seen this aircraft carrier” on the back of my milk carton as I enjoy my morning cereal.

Asked whether Trump would sign a spending bill that didn’t include funding for his proposed border wall, however, Mulvaney said: “We don’t know yet.”

Mulvaney basically just admitted their gambit is to pretend they’re playing hardball (on TV), then back down when the shit hits the fan. Great moments in strategery.

The current GOP is a disparate collection of disaffected people all of whom rail against the government but for different and often contradictory reasons. It was an effective coalition when it was united by opposition to anything and everything supported by Obama and the Democrats but self-destructive when it is charged with governing.

Wouldn’t be cool if Trump refused to sign the spending bill and shut down the government over his wall? Then Trump could join the teabagger caucus in holding their breath until they get their way. Good times.
