Well, it wasn’t here and now it’s dark but the port will be out and that makes a difference too. I’m a laggard in my drinking so really, excuse me will really go this time.
“President Trump condemns all acts of violence against any individual or group of people – including members of the press."
Well, unless they’re killed by Saudi friends?
Yeah that’s not happening.
“We will be as respectful as Dear Leader,” they droned in unison.
Help them up and dust them off after you punch em in the face. Then punch em again.
Well, we did better than Europe - where a third said that. I’m going to be contrarian and say some respondents may have been pissing on the question, being so well educated that they could consider any point the center in a relativistic way. Lol.
I remember a very long car trip once where my little sister had misheard something her first grade teacher had said about which revolves around what. The rest of the family tried to straighten her out, but she was adamant that her teacher was always right and it was in the science book, so there. I remember oranges being involved to no avail. My dad even pulled the “I’m a scientist” card and she retorted, essentially, not your field. She wouldn’t admit defeat until we took her to an exhibit, either at the Field Museum or Science and Industry, that had a model with a light and spheres that moved around to demonstrate the phases of the moon. Apparently the museum was a higher authority than her teacher.
No one has told them the nascar race instructions:
Left, left, left, left.
Don’t watch figure-8 racing.
Never ring the fucking bell. Damn straight.
That was excellent.
Hey, two wrongs don’t make a right.
But three lefts do.
Hmmm…funny how there is nothing (not even a tweet) from Trump himself.
He’s having a sad over his border wall.
Never ever ring that damned bell
Ever
You aren’t Mr. White from 8th grade social studies, by any chance?
The best thing that happened to me in grade school was getting pulled out of fourth grade recess (we had three per day, so no great loss) so that I could help a second grader learn to read. We were supposed to do flashcards, but it was in the art classroom which had chalkboards, so we played hangman a lot too. In retrospect I realize the kid was dyslexic. But anyway I love tutoring one on one like that. I learned a lot of patience with that first job, but most importantly, that not everyone sees or processes the world the way I do, and teaching is adapting to the student, not the other way around.
Rules are for thee, not for me.
That was my fathers lesson to me. It only took fatherhood for me to understand.
Edit
But damn, I’d hate to hafta be that precise making my bed every damned day.
I’m pretty sure that Mr. White teaches chemistry……
I would have said “give it time and he will understand” but at 72 yrs old I think trump’s horse has not only left the barn …he’s lost where his barn is.
What’s a barn?
You knew more about teaching as a fourth-grader than many teachers realize in their whole careers. Not the top third, who are crackerjack professionals, and mostly not the middle third either, but many of the bottom. If we really valued the field it wouldn’t be that way.
