Ugh, why does this admin keep apologizing for doing the right thing?

Arrogent? Or just sick and tired of Republicans trying to obstruct every good move by the White House. And Dianne I do not blame them in the least for their low level of trust.

“I haven’t had a conversation with the White House on this issue in a year and a half. If that’s keeping us in the loop than the administration is more arrogant than I thought,” he said.

They told me this might go through a year and a half ago, but… but… I am like Guy Peirce in Memento so now I wasn’t informed about this 30 days or more.

Oh…so the Obama administration lied again…imagine that!!!

Funny how, when someone consults with you about doing a thing that needs doing, and, rather than working with them in good faith to get the thing done, you use that to obstruct them in doing the thing they’re trying to do, they don’t come back to you again when they’re about to do it.

That’s how they roll.

Bless his heart, the ol’ Southern gentleman Chambliss probably forgot what he did to Max Cleland as well.

I don’t think that they are apologizing for getting Bergdahl out. Something more like, “We were too busy trying to get him out and we wanted to avoid having complications and didn’t want to scupper the deal; sorry about that.”

…THEN the administration…

I realize that Chamblis’ accent can be difficult to understand, but come on, you can transcribe it properly.

Don’t apologize …just keep getting things done despite the obstruction from the right

Seems like all the commentary from the right wingers is a good justification for why they kept it to themselves. When an American soldier gets freed and the first response of conservatives is that the sky is falling, you know why officials don’t involve them any time they can find a way not to.

And I bet the White House spokesman was sniggering when he said it too - at least to the GOP members.

Hmm. If you didn’t want Obama to be in charge anymore, why didn’t you nominate someone who had a chance of beating him in 2012? I always wondered about that, it doesn’t add up. Looks like the GOP is going to do the same kind of thing in 2016, too.

See, there’s our feckless apologizer-in-chief going on another apology tour, Why can’t we have a strong leader like Putin? Instead, Obama is just a weak milquetoast who… strongarmed the entire legislative branch with his Chicago style politics! Yeah, that’s it. He’s a weakling who’s coercing us into going along with it, and we’re not going to be bossed around by this atheist Muslim pansy any more.

And to shut them up. One thing about Obama for sure, he’s about getting rid of stupid distractions so he can get down to the business of accomplishing shit unlike the do nothing pond scum slime

I understand why they didn’t go to congress, but this is very poor form, to say that you consulted them, and then on the same day apologize for not consulting them? WTF? I’m sure there’s more to the story, but currently it looks like keystone cops over there.

poster child for term limits

I understand trying to smooth ruffled feathers, but these naysayers are being ridiculous. If Bergdahl had died before he could be rescued, they would have blamed POTUS for that, too. What about the 500 prisoners at Guantanamo released when Dubya and Draft-Dodger Cheney were in power? The way that administration played fast and loose with the law gave us torture and b.s. Iraq war. Whether Bergdahl was AWOL or whatever will be discovered by an Army investigation. Meanwhile, I am thankful that he was saved.
