FInally! It’s about time that people started reporting on the underlying reason Perry wanted the Travis County DA to resign. If pRick were upset about DAs getting a DWI, he would have called for the resignation of the other 2 DAs who have gotten DWIs during his governorship.

Abbott was responsible for overseeing CPRIT, which was under investigation by Lehmberg’s PIU for channeling state funds to Perry’s and Abbott’s cronies.
So by getting rid of Lehmberg it would have allowed Perry to appoint her replacement. I do not need to explain what that would mean for Greg Abbott & Rick Perry and their cronies.
Iam glad to see Senator Wendy Davis go after Abbott. It is important that Texas voters understand the connection. And as a Texan myself, I can tell you this is not exactly the local media’s strong suit.
