Discussion for article #228810
Good answer Wendy. Don’t let up.
The ad is brutal and effective.
Abbott brought the Wheelchair into the race himself—and Davis saw her opening and took it.
Not once does the ad reference Abbott’s handicap in a negative way.
All it talks about is what a stunningly hypocritical man Abbott really is.
Now this------the conservatives doing what they accused Wendy Davis of doing.
Davis should offer Abbott a deal: she will pull the wheelchair ad as soon as Abbott removes all his ads in which he plays the “pity-me” card using his wheelchair.
I’ve spent a fair amount of time in a wheelchair. It’s no fun, but it does not in any way indicate someone’s qualifications to govern Texas. There is only one valid role (roll?) it can play in this race: none whatsoever. Abbott should stop playing the cripple card and run on his own sorry record in office.
