Conservatives are right: It depends if its legitimate rape or not. If they only rape them a little, there should be a shorter limitation period. Its about fairness.

It’s curious how the polling trends for both candidates rise and fall in tandem.

Conservatives believe that if the rapist has a short little wee wee he should not be charged at all but should be shown mercy even and the rape simply swept under the carpet so as to not embarrass the poor widdle guy.
This is called “string bean justice” and it applies to most conservative males leaving only those with penises the size of Black Diamond watermelons to be cited as legitimate rapists.
This dovetails neatly with their "Mess’cans with calves the size of cantaloupe theory of drug running.

She really needs to go further at Abbott if she wants to win. Abbott supports a so-called personhood amendment. He also supports tort reform which prevents victims from suing for corporate negligence yet he received a fat payout when he was injured and left disabled. But the ultimate hypocrisy is his lack of support for the Americans with Disabilities Act which he considers federal overreach. Oh, The oppressive curb cuts! It’s like rooting for Richard Widmark’s character in Kiss of Death.

No SOL? I’m all for maximizing rape prosecutions, but even in the modern era evidence eventually gets stale. How about 20 years?
Well if by chance this becomes law, Dems win because all repukes will be in court for years. Nothing like hitting them where it hurts most, there homes. lol

She’s impressive. How Abbott can be ahead with all the baggage he has is beyond me. Texas really hates common sense and strong women from all I can tell.

What you are looking at isn’t trends, but pollster to pollster changes, whether one pollster is looking at registered or likely voters, or another is including leaners. What is encouraging (Discouraging for those of us who want to see Wendy Davis governor), is the fact that regardless of pollster methodology, the difference between the candidates is pretty consistent. That means we are seeing a pretty good reflection of the opinion of the electorate. With no movement in the polls over the last six months, unless Wendy Davis somehow steps up her ground game in a really big way (I did get a visit from one of her canvassers today), she is heading for an 8 point loss in November.
Which is a shame, because the list of things she could be going after Abbott for is almost as long as Perry’s, but she just isn’t. I have seen a handful of bumper stickers, and a single yard sign, but I have not heard a single radio ad, television commercial, or seen any billboards. Plenty for Abbott but nothing for her. And I am in Dallas, which should be one of her strongest regions.

It’s shot it’s wee little wad and can post nothing more…no rush to toss it out.
Texas loves its strong women (not common sense though, you are right about that). But Wendy Davis is allowing herself to be entirely defined by Abbott’s portrayal of her. There are billboards all up and down the I-35 corridor loudly proclaiming that Wendy Davis is being investigated by the FBI for illegal activities in her legal work (doubt it is even true, and the billboards don’t say who is paying for them), but not a single billboard for her. There are radio ads portraying her as out of touch with the average citizen, being payed for by the guy who is a multimillionaire because he sued someone after his accident. And she isn’t countering them. I don’t know why she isn’t. In the last two months I have not seen or heard a single pro-Davis message (outside of a few bumper stickers). Not one. And I am in Dallas, which is fairly bluish purple.

What is the punishment for thieves in Saudi Arabia again? Yeah, get the punishment in line with the crime and the would be rapists might start thinking a little bit.
Texans needs Wendy Davis, they are just to yahooish to know it.

No statute of limitations means investigators can’t “wait out” a slimmer work load. They’ll have to make money the old fashioned way.
