I’m kind of confused by his last tweet (as posted here). He appears to be trying to say he’s being targeted for political reasons, but then gives a substantive reason why he might have triggered extra scrutiny. I’m totally assuming here, but I kind of think he’d want that flag to go up if it were someone else, and now it sounds like he expects DHS to be a mind reader or recognize him as a patriotic American because of his complexion or something. I could be totally off there, but seems real odd and like he’s looking for victim-hood here.

Al-Qaeda is theocratic and Saddam’s Baathist Party was 100% secular. The two where completely incompatible,polar opposites,and where mortal enemies. There was no Al-Qaeda,Saddam connection.

Maybe that’s because on paper, conservative ideology is indistinguishable from that of ISIS, al Qaeda, any number of banana republic militias, etc.
