He isn’t qualified to say this.

I see she had better luck with him than she did with Napolitano their (faux news ?) ex Judge she was trying her best to get him to say negative things about the Ebola out break and the Nurse who was being detained in Newark,She tried and tried but he wouldn’t bite he was arguing on the legal principal of the matter,Sometime when you surf the tube you catch these rare moments.

All you got to do is look at satellite photographs of the polar ice caps from 30 years ago and compare them with today’s. They are definitely melting, or have they been faked like the moon landing.

"“Well, there are 9,000 Ph.D.s and 31 scientists who have signed a petition…”

So, let’s recap. 9,000 PhDs but only 31 scientists, and no indication whether a single one of those is even a climate scientist.

What a fraud. But of course, the imbecilic Fox News watcher sucks it all up like a catfish sucks up detritus from the river bottom. So in the final analysis, it really doesn’t matter if we all recognize this guy is a fraud – we’re not the ones needing convincing of the reality.

And some claim this blonde bimbo has brains…please.

Perhaps, if he’s actually a climate scientist, of which I still hold doubt. Broadcast meteorologists are not researchers.

And the fact he’d purport that merely holding a PhD gives one credibility on the issue, by his own admission not even a science PhD (according to him, actual scientists from all fields constituted 31/9000ths of petition signers) means that everything out of the man’s mouth on the subject should be considered a lie until proven otherwise. I wouldn’t believe him if he told me his name.

One has to wonder whether those 31 scientists were in the fossil fuel extraction industry. Crackerjack bimbo teleprompter reader Megyn Kelly is paid well to “skirt” the obvious follow-up questions.

My impression also. He got me with the " more polar bears are alive and happy today than we’ve had in a hundred years,…". Was waiting for him to stand up and start dancing a jig.

There was another story this morning that the Weather channel and AccuWeather are making long term predictions about the weather this winter that vary from the National Weather service. If anyone remembers but during the Bush years there was an attempt to privatize the national weather system in a way. Its data was to be for private companies only. These two stories sound like a return to that Playbook. The war against the US government continues.

Seriously. You get a doctorate by doing coursework and writing a dissertation. You have to be reasonably persistent and willing to follow the rules to do this. You do not have to be unusually intelligent, knowledgeable, perceptive, or able to evaluate evidence. Anybody who works with academics would confirm this for you, I’m pretty sure.

This poor 80-year-old seems to think he’s on George Noori or Jeff Rense. Probably need to bring some planetary science cred and a little evidence if you are going to try to battle overwhelming scientific consensus. Otherwise you just look like grampa’s crazy brother, who nobody dares engage in conversation at Thanksgiving dinner.

Thank heavens for Megyn Kelly, finally having the courage to give a platform to the poor, opppressed, climate deniers!

Yep, i’ve often heard this claim, but to date have seen no supporting evidence.

“9,000 Ph.D.s and 31 scientists”
What are their P.H.D.s in? Sociology? Political Science? Art History?
So, only 31 ACTUAL scientists, and what are THEIR P.H.D.s in? The deniers I have read mostly have degrees in Geology, and Chemistry and are just about ALL employed by the Extraction Industries (Oil, Coal, Gas.)
Once again: Follow the Money.

Bah! You with your so-called “satellites” and “photography.” All made up by corrupt scientists seeking to bilk the government and universities out of lucrative grants, I tell you! Everybody Knows the Earth is flat, so how can these so-called “satellites” go around it? And photography? Witchcraft, I say! Your tiny box of lies adds many pounds to the images of people and makes virile young men like Mr. Coleman here look like an old man! How can we trust supposed photos of places where cameras can’t actually do? Life is good, I tell you!

So, the data he presents is a petition? Reality is not a popularity contest. I am not sure about the 9000 number, but I would be curious to see how many have degrees in the correct fields.

And his statement about CO2 is not even logically consistent. CO2 has been known to be a greenhouse gas since the 1800s. Is it the strongest? No, but it is significant. He is arguing that small amounts released by man to the amounts released by nature. Ignoring that small differences have huge consequences in nature. Look at biology with tons of examples.

I find it astonishing when deniers say crap like “31 scientists!” like this number is supposed to support their claims. 31 out of how many, Coleman? Of course they never frame it as “10,000 scientists have found evidence of AGW, but we have found 31 who call it bunk. Climateghazi!”
