Gee, that couldn’t have anything embarrassing in it.

The confidential ones? Those are the ones Republicans don’t want the public to see.

Exactly. Confidential means consequential.

That’s “confidential” in the sense of “I am confident that we’re screwed if this gets out.”

Lee responded that there is a procedure for senators to go through — involving seeking permission for specific documents — to release such emails, but he conceded that he didn’t know why was it was marked committee confidential

BULLSHIT… Lee knows exactly why this was not made public, because it would expose the true beliefs of the Republican party for all to see

Democrats’ questions now should alternate between, “will you repeal Roe v Wade, yes or no,” and, “will you waive your privilege so the American people can read your emails about racial profiling.” Then substitute gerrymandering, police brutality, vote suppression, campaign finance, the Affordable Care Act and every other issue we already know the prick is wrong about, into the email privilege question.

Roe etc is only a minor issue to the repubs regarding Kavanaugh. What really makes him attractive is his absolute support for business interest vs unions and consumers.

Do any of you know what Senator Harris was referring to when she repeatly asked questions about Kavanaugh’s conversations with a particular law firm?

Senator Grassley is looking really bad in this hearing and showing why “a Farmer from Iowa” should not be chair of this committee. (This said by an Iowan)

I’m expecting that, as a sitting judge there are limits on what conversations he can have with representatives of people whose cases he might be hearing (or perhaps is hearing).
