Discussion: Waters: I Am A 'Strong Black Woman' Who Won't Be Intimidated By O'Reilly

O’Reilly sent around those watermelon and witch-doctor pictures too, no doubt. The mind would boggle if it had any disbelief left.

Maxine should send Orally a giftwrapped loofah.

Representative Waters, being Representative Waters - always strong and always impressive.

I have some sympathy for Mr. O’Reilly. It’s pretty clear he is in a somewhat advanced stage of dementia.

Got to admit that there’s a part of me that thinks she should have just said, “O’Reilly being O’Reilly. I don’t pay him any mind.” She shows she’s a strong woman–black or white–she doesn’t have to say it.

I happened to catch that, it was fantastic. She steamrolled Chris Hayes, I think he got 2 questions in. I love Maxine Waters when she’s mad.

It’s truly amazing how frequently the real face of the right wing blatherboxes on faux news - the leading cable news provider - peak out from beyond their masks of supposed respectibility. Are they too stupid to realize that controlling their baser impulses would strengthen their veneer of propriety - a veneer one would think should be important for people that are pretending to be “fair and balanced”? Or is it just that they’re incapable of controlling those impulses? Or maybe it’s just that those impulses actually serve their cause and improve their ratings.

Perhaps it’s all of the above… Maybe, given the SAD! state of a significant portion of this country’s populace at this point in history, all of the above comes together in a way that legitimizes their right-wing propaganda despite the fact that, in a sane and decent country, you’d expect this behavior to do the opposite.

Although I love this we really need to stop being ‘outraged’ by everything. Leave that to the lemon puckered GOPpers. I think this could have been handled with wit to the same devastating consequences. I always thought Carly Fiorino’s ‘women all over the country heard…’ was a great comeback and I’m no fan of hers.

Yes, yes, yes Rep. Waters. Constantly bring up the harassament suits against these degenerate pinheads.

Keith Olbermann had it right in his long-ago segment on how-to-embarass-a-camera-toting-Oreilly-troll: make every other word “Loofah.”
