The actress, Stephanie Clifford, known Stormy Daniels in the industry, reportedly accepted $130,000 in hush money from an LLC established by Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen, in October 2016.
I was thinking to myself that $130,000 was pretty cheap to keep my mouth shut over something as big as that, or as little as that, in the case of the Dotard. Big ego, small hands, that kind of thing. Point being that the hush money should have been upwards of 7 figures, and not just 6. Unless neither of them found it not really worthy of being remembered, i which case the hush money was just to jog Stormy’s memory to tell her to forget it. In which case, again, pretty cheap.
Bannon reportedly told Wolff that Trump’s campaign paid off lots of women for their silence. In the meantime, “Stormy” has kicked off her “Making America Horny Again Tour.”
Gossip, yes. Did it happen? Again, yes. I’m pretty sure it did happen. That’s what makes the hush money limited to $130K seem cheap.
I have to admit that i’m merely speculating. I know i’ve never spent as little as that in hush money to keep some sordid encounter like that a secret. That’s just my experience. I would expect that kind of gossip to cost a lot more than $130K in damages if it were ever to become public knowledge.
That’s what makes Cohen so valuable to T rump. They are all in this waaaaaay over their heads. They have limited themselves to each other if they want to have any hope of getting out of any of their criminal activities without going to prison.
Tough to make any judgment about what should happen until we know whose signature is on the check and where the money cam from, isn’t it? I trust that Mr. Mueller will add that to his “to do” list.
Humiliation?
I actually think this might strengthen him with the males of his base. And I doubt there’ll be much erosion among women. Remember, he has found the Lord.
Unfortunately, it seems you have to be born with it and have a lawyer to try and keep you from bankrupting yourself. Then again, what’s the worth for two weeks of almost constant media coverage touting an alpha male’s escapades with a porn star… while married with a pregnant wife no less? For his base, Trump just moved beyond the ‘small hands’ moniker and further cemented his star status. Any advertising is good advertising, even when it makes you want to gag.
