That he was wrong in his initial comment and in his “apology” is almost irrelevant. He is just clueless.

He’s sorry that they were offended because THEY won’t take the time to understand the need to stop these tragedies from occurring? That’s not an apology, that’s a further insult to people who were offended by his original statement. Please stop saying he apologized. He didn’t; he doubled down.

Time after time Rep. Don Young (R-AK) has exhibited behavior that is suggestive of mental instability - is it alcoholism? is it a pattern of clinically definable impulse control issues? or is it simply that, at age 81, he is just not fully in command of himself?
