Discussion for article #242793
Of course Trump is right on this one. Ugh.
But Carson’s story is a very traditional redemption story that evangelists eat up with a spoon.
The brainwashed fools who make up the GOP base will lap this up!
A 95 minute rant? I would be surprised (seriously) if he makes it to March. Time to play the victim and get out.
The Washington Post account of the speech Donald Trump begs Iowans not to believe Ben Carson: ‘Don’t be fools, okay?’ makes it sound as if he was drunk or otherwise impaired.
Perhaps there’s more to this story than has thus surfaced?
Mental Ben : “Oh…It’s ON now Tang head! Soon as my Quaaludes and Sleepy Time Tea wear off, you better get a wall built around YOU!”

Then Lullaby Ben dozed back off, mumbling something about pyramids and the Chinese…

Ugh. So lame. Like Shecky Greene on his worst day. Seriously, it’s Vegasey-vulgar glitzy pseudo-entertainment that just seems to come from some other universe than America in 2015.
“How stupid are the people of Iowa — how stupid are the people of the country to believe this crap?”
Indeed.
If Carson was genuinely a man of God he would have tried stabbing his friend with an intelligently designed banana.
I think the Trump train has officially gone off the rails ----
Trump better sleep with one eye open because Ben “Walnuts” Carson is going to come after him.
Questioning the veracity of Carson’s story of redemption should really help Trump with evangelical voters in Iowa.
He’d gain more admiration if he spoke in tongues, juggled rattlesnakes, raised the lame from their wheelchairs and squinted real hard into the camera as he prayed away the gay.
How stupid are the people of Iowa — how stupid are the people of the country to believe this crap?
This could, of course, be said about almost anything coming out of the mouths of any of the G.O.P. hopefuls, on any subject. Nonsense economic policies, nonsense social policies, nonsense environmental policies,…
Apparently, he has been thinking about this stabbing theory in more depth than he has been thinking about his deportation plan. Doesn’t Trump realize that with God all things are possible?
Well, it’s clear the CBS This Morning people and the delicate and highly sensitive Major Garrett were highly pretend aghast, again.
Best. Republican. Primary. Ever.
He missed the part when Carson stopped to check in with GOD for guidance.
