I know that another story states that someone tried to breach the security line but damn from the picture above it looks more like the SS are a group of old white men⌠are we sure they are not being paid by the campaign.

The Secret Service hires on merit - much like the military. If âold white menâ are what can get the job done, then they are used. They look like middle aged men to me, so whatâs with the ageism?

Aside: Seems the sameo, sameo comment systems issues remain⌠Over my 45 years career in IT, I worked my way up the ladder where the last 15 years saw me swapping between COO and CIO positions. I am speaking from the perspective of having designed/copyrighted/patented communication systems since the days of IBM 350s. Communications is key to any organization and the comment sections of a site such as this are a key communication medium/stakeholder. If this outage/issue occurred in my firm I would be firing myself because it was not resolved within a few hours. Why even back in the days when to communicate between departments, in the same building, we would either phone or use a teletype an outage such as this would have been intolerable.

At least one of those guys is a private protection agency guy that has been doing the dirty work for Trump since last summer. Trump wants people in his rallies to attack protesters. I want protesters to attack Trump. So we are all on the same page.

This site loses all value when the comments arenât available. With the totally unproofread articles and âbylinedâ stories that are transcriptions of AP articles, mechanical errors such as yesterdayâs flameout are really unacceptable. Itâs also annoying when no updates or even acknowledgment of such a problem are posted on the main page.

Yup. And I hate to sound conspiratorial, but Iâm pretty convinced he engineered last nightâs chaos. The violence at his events has been escalating, as heâs increasingly egged on his followers to go after the protesters (âIâll pay your legal bills!â), who are now a regular feature of his rallies; so his campaign schedules a rally right smack inside the campus of a big-city university with a diverse student body? And has people enter the venue before cancelling it? When nothing had happened yet? And then he lies about the Chicago police telling him he should cancel (they adamantly deny they did so). Iâm sincerely not one to don tin-foil hats, but clearly this Nixon/Wallace wannabe has studied their playbook.
@Hoppy: Nope, no protesters attacking Trumpists. Disruptive but peaceful protest isnât just being goody-goody, itâs the smarter, more effective tactic. Il Doucheyâs clearly looking to replay Nixonâs âlaw and orderâ shtick in defense of âthe silent majorityâ (a term heâs already used); and heâs already saying the protesters are starting the violence at his rallies. The last thing we need is video to back up that up-to-now bullsht claim.

Looking at the video, from what I can tell, something happened in the crowd behind the stage, between the stage and the plane. Perhaps another tomato was thrown.
I can never tell, from his appearances, who is his hired security and who is Secret Service. This could be a PR problem for the Service down the road, as his events generate ever more protests and reactions from his supporters.
