Gonna miss that guy. Just not sure how to dismiss the drone killing, secrecy seeking side of the man.

The President KILLED IT.

Fantastic work.

Wow. That was fantastic. It’s amazing how likeable he is when he wants to be.

Now if only there was more of this back in 20010 and 11.

Did get your pony, eh?

Yeah, he’s a mixed bag. Although in some fairness it kind of has to be, because anyone who is not a mixed bag either wouldn’t want the job or wouldn’t be able to secure a nomination.

I guess it comes down to getting the best mix you can.

I think you are arguing for reducing the power of the presidency.

O stole the show without losing grace… Bush was TV too last night – Day v. Night.

Even his critics have to admit that he’s got the best comic timing of any president in history.
(I heard Lincoln was a hoot, but everything I read gets filtered in my head through Daniel Day Lewis.)

The Prez may have found his next gig and Colbert may have found his replacement.

Barack can do self deprecating and get away with it, because it’s a joke. Bush couldn’t come close, because he was the joke and still is btw.

Seriously, how can you NOT like this guy?

I could not agree more. I love my president so much.

There is an issue with “where does he go now?” Anyone know the stats, will he be one of the youngest two-term presidents in history, to “retire” from office?

I still think he would make a great UN Secretary General. And he might elevate that position just by taking it for a term. But, considering the stranglehold the Republicans have on Congress, that might not happen for a while. They would have to approve it, and they are going to be bitter forever. I don’t know if there’s a reliable gauge of the extent of his popularity, I do know those of us who still love him really do, and despite the old “Obamabot” epithets we have suffered over the seasons, it is more like a fellowship than a reverence. Just how that plays out is anyone’s guess.

But, all that being said, he may not want the burden of public service, who would blame him if he never got into the political game again, in any way?,

I have never considered it likely in the past, but watching this and remembering some of his other performances over the years, he might very well end up in entertainment somewhere. He could sure stick it to the haters with a variety show.

He’s also got a great voice, he might even sing now and then, and wouldn’t that ruffle some conservative feathers?

Makes the ganglia twitch.

He could probably do anything he wants but I am betting on his doing something humanitarian. It is who he is.

You asked how can you not like this guy Just ask the republicans. I suspect it’s more of a “Green Eyed Monster” thing

holding out for the unicorn…

I’d wager as time passes, many of them will admire him, with convenient caveats…
