Said it before: I have very rarely seen another adult who seems to enjoy being with little kids as much as he does. Not only is very comfortable around them but they, in turn, appear to really enjoy his company. Just amazing.

This was going to be my comment, too. As many times as I’ve seen him interacting with children, I am warmed by his warmth and his enjoyment while in their company. It’s remarkable to see it in anyone, but it is all the more compelling to see it in our President.

That picture they flashed towards the end…it made my cynical, sarcastic heart slightly melt (just a tiny bit). A bunch of different-looking people all smiling and happily sharing in an old, non-European cultural tradition in the 21st century - this will surely raise the blood pressure of the right-wing noise machine.

I agree %100. I think this is indicative of the kind of human man he is. I truly believe one of the first things he thinks of when he wakes up in the morning is “How can I make the lives of the people better today?” I think he says that because he genuinely gives a shit. He is a good, decent, kind, big heart-ed man. It will be one of those things when he’s gone, that we realize how great he was, and how much we miss him. I think history will look upon him extremely favorably.

I always remind myself with any public person that I’m seeing a persona, and not necessarily the unfiltered authentic person, but he really does consistently come off as poised, comfortable with himself, ready with a joke, predisposed to get a kick out of things, and really just pretty damn cool.

A people-person of the highest order, our president acts with honor, warmth, humor–and tremendous intelligence. He lives with great spirit and leads with enormous humility and selflessness. I pray that the presidents who succeed him will be blessed with such strength of character.

I don’t think she’ll do that but if she does, she’ll lose. That’s a recipe for failure imo. I hope no one is giving her that kind of advice because for all Democratic candidates including her, its beyond stupid.
