Discussion for article #228961
OhBUmmer fAILS to wEIGH EboLA CZAR as GOVernment SPREADs EBOLA tO the EAST CoaST.
It’s a hard job. Nurses should have the resources, and sufficient compensation, to do it. It sounds like these nurses were just thrown into the breach.
The video indicates she volunteered to care for Mr. Duncan. She’s very brave.
I want to know something- what was Mr. Duncan not shipped off to one of the facilities that actually handles highly infectious diseases on a regular basis?
BEcAUse OBUmmer IS FOMENTing a CLASS war AND PLANNIng on TRanSFErring WEALth froM rich to THOse that LIVE in ABJEct MOOchery in a Cloward and Piven GAMBIT. GOD YOUr dUMB LIBtard!!!
For sure. And the problem was that the idiot hospital Admin did not take this case seriously at first, and she had worked without the precautions that would be required for an Ebola patient. That’s when she contacted it, the first couple of days with the patient. So sad, hopefully she recovers fully.
Wrong article, this is about the poor lady who contacted the disease saying a tearful goodbye to co-workers.
Not that I find any of your rants amusing (SOS every time), but I guess a few people do.
Ms. Pham is presented as a heroine, but only disdain for Ms. Vinson.
I’ll be interested to see how this nurse fares, without (one hopes) significant co-morbidities, and good hospital care right from the start.
I hope that we find Ebola is much less deadly when proper care is delivered to otherwise healthy people in a prompt fashion.
Might damp down a little of the hysteria…
P.S. Don’t dump on our pal Eustace! Without him, we might get assigned more real trolls to fill the vacuum.
Well…Vinson did some pretty foolish things that have led to massive problems. I hope they both survive.
Gee, maybe because Vinson HAD SYMPTOMS for the SAME DISEASE of the patient she was treating, and still got on a plane!!
Wow.
And no, that does not mean I wish ill will on Vinson. I am just responding to your absurd post and insinuation. Oh, and where do you see anyone with “disdain” (your word) for Ms. Vinson?
Ya. It looks like the hostoftillygoosedus.
One of my lifelong friends is a trauma center nurse at OU Medical. She takes sabbaticals to volunteer for Nurses Without Borders. She’s at the top of her game and if she told me to jump off a cliff for my health I’d seriously consider it. She absolutely believes in God because she’s seen miracles. Personally I’m skeptical but a little prayer for Nina Pham, Amber Vinson and every other person fighting this disease couldn’t hurt.
Yes, actually a little prayer could hurt, if people think prayer is a reasonable replacement for science, funding, and proper procedures. One very serious potential problem is that if people are inclined to believe in the evil God of right wing religious conservatives, they tend to stop supporting real efforts to change things for the better in ways that will reduce poverty and other needless cruelties that persist into the 21st century because of various superstitions.
Your friend is doing wonderful work, regardless of her reasons. I’m grateful to her.
And the underfunded CDC gave her some bad advice implying that since she started under the fever limit she could go.
Take up your problems with the GOTP congress.
Has it occurred to you that Ms. Pham is presented as a heroine because she is a heroine?
All the hilarity of a 10 year old telling fart jokes…
Gee, thanks for sorting out the whole God thing, Mitch. Weird, don’t you think, Mitch? You being so sure of my belief and your’s, too? Really weird, Mitch. MYOB
Yow, that’s a tear-jerker. She’s in good spirits, and I hope the transfusion and intensive support help her fight it off.
