Discussion: WATCH: MSNBC Walks Through San Bernardino Attackers' Home

This is the relevant point - the belongings left inside the walls of that property rightly belong to the estate of the deceased. The landlord, be he owner or property manager, has no legal right to allow access to anyone other that a representative of the estate.

I always thought to be in charge in the FBI, you had to be a dick. Or at least a major ass kissing jerk.

I’m more disgusted by the network and journalist than by the landlord. This is what passes for journalism? Edward R. Murrow must be rolling in his grave.

I wonder if we all have standing to sue and collect some dough from the MSM?

They will send him a 1099. They are very anal about that.

Only one such person who’s taken this course is needed, they cover only Jimmy Carter.

Yeah…he just stressed that the had finished with the crime scene and removed everything they needed. That they have to leave anything that isn’t relevant to their investigation and then leave an inventory list of what they have taken…

It does seem premature to release the site though.

Chuck Todd expressed concern about whether our politics could handle it if San Bernardino turned out to be a terrorist attack. I wonder if our fourth estate can handle it.

I watched this live and it was like a scene from the movie Nightcrawler.

Even if the landlord didn’t know better, MSNBC sure as hell should have.

What the HELL is wrong with those people? They know better. I hope they all get arrested for tampering with and destroying evidence. And that landlord is a world of stupid all within himself.

Apparently from what I read MSNBC was in a mad rush to beat Inside Edition, that had paid $1000 to get inside the home for their “exclusive” scoop.

In the bedroom, touching the woman’s underwear, perhaps?

Someone at the scene reported the landlord was being taken into custody by the FBI. Not sure what that was about but if the Sheriffs are saying it wasn’t a clear scene, then this debacle just got a whole lot messier. That and the fact none of the contents of that apartment are legally the property of the landlord. There are living relatives of the deceased, this is their estate. JFC this is ridiculous.

Also - what kind of ghoulish bullshit are these “journalists” pulling? I bet if you did a head count better than 90% of them are the same people who have been screaming and wailing for years about the NSA and privacy stuff, but they don’t seem to have any problem holding up government ID and social security cards of total strangers to broadcast on live television. This was like watching someone get doxxed, live.

Andrea Mitchell is a fucking ghoul.

Well that’s not right. But if you think about it, usually they don’t let people in a crime scene because they might destroy evidence and that might get the criminals off on a technicality. There are no criminals who will be prosecuted for this crime, they are dead.

this is just another armpit flap, or back-of-the-knee bulge, or arse stretch mark on the grotesquely obese lump that this country has become. too lassitudinous to respond in anything other than repulsive ways to any kind of stimuli…

Hell, that’s the first thing they taught us in HIGH SCHOOL journalism. I think the trouble is that today people don’t really study “journalism”. They study “communications” and that’s apparently just how to look good on TV. It shows every time we need the press to provide us with important information – they have no idea how to even figure out what might be important, so how can we expect them to make the complex decisions on ethics?

Yeah, you know, we’re done. It’s time for MSNBC to come down off the air and off the net. It is not even next-to useless; MSNBC is 100%, categorically, unequivocally USELESS. This bone-headed dumbass stunt is merely the icing on the cake of uselessness that is MSNBC

Well, the thought crossed my mind that even had the FBI released the space, that sure does not mean the other law enforcement agencies–city, county, state–had. This landlord or property manager was pretty dumb – or in collusion with someone to fuck things up.

I have been coming to that conclusion too, their talking heads during the last few months have shown them to be utterly clueless and flailing about. The stupidity is beginning to run strong there.
