if they did the right thing, they wouldn’t even need this press conference.

Of course they use a black back ground.

The fix is in. “We’re going all out because we know the dude should be charged but we won’t be charging him.”

Shorter Nixon: the cop won’t be charged, and we expect rioting.

Am I the only one who thinks that press conference was extremely weird,
and dark? It was a preemptive plea that it’s not our fault if black people misbehave.

Unfortunately, most of the commenters do not know all of the facts around this case at this point, so they are not qualified to have an opinion in this matter.

Excuse me? What facts do we not know.

CNN was on at the gym this morning and they were showing all the businesses boarding up their windows, building steel cages, etc.

The lusting for a black ‘riot’ is so strong among the southerners, no matter what party. They want to prove to themselves that blacks are uncontrollable, irrational and need to be slapped down hard.

I hope black leaders are emphasizing, a la MLK, non-violence, and urging immediate investigation of agents provocateur who might loot or set fires.

I’ve seen comments on websites, even New York magazine, yelling that black people are hideous thugs and must be ‘put down’ if they make a peep. I’ve also seen unbelievable comments that looters should be shot on sight.

Ferguson’s demonstrations were remarkably peaceful and completely non-violent.

But they are painted by the press as ‘riots.’

To be fair, the South doesn’t want us and the North thinks we are too far south.

They really should be given the store’s keys, so nobody will get hurt by the glass they shatter.

Welp, with that one, you’re certainly a known quantity.

best way to ensure a peaceful demonstration in ferguson, is to keep all MO police out of there. they’re responsible for most of the violence that occurred there to begin with.

It’s positively surreal. Given the way the grand jury was conducted (in fact, that there was a grand jury at all), given the absolute refusal to appoint a special counsel for no apparent reason, and now given this, it’s like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

These fuckers are playing with fire.

Yep, just take a page from good ole Bull Connor. They already have, so why stop now.

Just like they did with the Zimmerman verdict. We proved them so right by holding hands and quietly singing “We Shall Overcome”. We were far more behaved than the typical white college student during “fall back”,
