“I am totally opposed to school shootings. Thank you and good-bye.”
I hope the press starts shouting questions to him about Stormy Daniels and security clearances.
He, and none of his mass-killing-GOP enablers, have absolutely nothing to say. NOTHING. So at least we’re back to Rob Porter and Stormy soon enough.
You forgot the “very, very” opposed. Come on, man, he’s serious!
A preview of Trump’s speech–
“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters.”
Unless trump talks about concrete steps to restrict guns (universal background checks, liability insurance for owners, outlaw bumpstocks and assault rifles etc) whatever he says will be worthless. I see no reason to listen to him.
I hope they don’t. I hope they keep the focus on what happened, and what will happen again if the Dotard and Congress don’t do anything about the nearly unfettered access to deadly weapons.
If trump weren’t POTUS there’s no way he could get any sort of security clearance yet he has total access to all state secrets … remarkable … unfathomable… ridiculous in the extreme. Its a Marx Brothers comedy sketch only it’s not funny…or rational.
I hate Trump with real prejudice. But the reality is that there is absolutely nothing he can do about school shootings. Hillary could not do anything either, if she was president. Obama in 8 years in office probably made things worse just because the color of his skin, but did not try anything at all. Politicians are not the problem, they are a reflection of the American people.
School shootings are the price to pay for the society that we live, where we choose to let just about anyone have pretty much any type of gun he wants. The issue is not “gun control” the kid in FL bought his gun legally, same as the guy in Las Vegas, and pretty much every mass shootings the guns had been acquired legally.
What’s really needed is not more background checks, whats needed is disarming. Anyone that is not willing to go around and remove the hundred of millions of high capacity firearms from unregulated civilians, gets to share the blame of the kids killed yesterday.
I would rather stick a fork in my eye than watch and listen to this cretin attempt to address an issue of such import.
More “Thoughts and prayers,” with a side of NRA dogwhistles.
“I see no reason to listen to him.”
I would extend that statement to anything that fool has to say.
ETA: I would make one exception to this. If he were to say “I resign,” I would listen to that.
“neighbors and classmates” should report “such instances to authorities.” To whom exactly? Rick “Stand Your Ground” Scott?
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. June 19 2017 (Reuters) - Florida Governor Rick Scott signed amended “stand your ground” legislation on Friday, making it easier for defendants in the state to successfully claim they were protecting themselves when they commit violence.
That is what the American people wants. When was the last time a politician got voted out of office fro being too “pro-gun”? Americans don’t love school shootings but are unwilling to do the necessary things to prevent them, like the British and the Australians did.
Well, you got the NRA donating to Russia and you got the NRA donating to PuPPet’s campaign and every greedy R. OTOH the NRA spent $34.5 million in ads against Democrats
Without being humorous about it, the following is ironic.
And they say that Americans don’t do irony…
“The most important things to remember about this horrible tragedy are: (1) there was absolutely no collusion with the Russians; and (2) the economy is doing great.”
“Believe me, this was a sad school shooting. Sad! And I know sad. I stood on the roof of a house and watched the todally false flag school shooting in Connecticut and this was like only second in body count. High body counts are for winners. This guy’s a loooooser all the way around.”
