Definitely not interested in watching a Trump rally, but if you want a little inside insight, this guy did a great job live tweeting a Trump rally last night in North Carolina. Frightening.
Yes, I linked to that in an earlier thread, too. Everyone should take the 2 minutes needed to read it…
Get your tickets now!! Seats are going fast!!
let’s see. john mccain on the left and billy bob on the right?
No need to watch, here’s a synopsis:
Sweaty yelling orange man says hateful things
your press pass has been revoked.
Posted the same link on another thread awhile ago. Its absolutely frightening what takes place at his rallies. They’ve only gotten more unhinged by his supporters and attendees.
A must-see Colbert moment If you want to just see the applicable diagram, it begins around the 5:10 minute mark.
What’s fascinating is the radio silence that most elected goopers have given regarding their presumptive nominee on most matters lately. They don’t want to even mention his name out-loud. They are that scared he’s going to affect down-ballot races so negatively in November that they’re just pretending he doesn’t actually exists.
No, thank you. The useful thing about Trump is he really can be summed up by after the fact sound bite headlines.
No jackboots until after Labor Day! You should know that by now.
So he never addressed how he would lead this country? I kinda thought that’s what these rallies were for.
I’ll pass and watch the Hong Kong cgi animated reenactment later.
Edit. Maybe it was Taiwanese. Whatever.
That live tweeting was terrifying.
Sorry TPM but reading trump’s words is bad enough and I value my computer. If I watched this preening buffoon I’d likely destroy my laptop against the wall.
It was terrifying and fascinating all at the same time. It reminded me of some of the ethnographic research I read when I was in grad school; this slice of life of a certain segment of society from an outsider’s point of view.
They don’t say anything because they know he’s speaking to the base and if they diss it, it will turn the base against them in the primaries. And they don’t say similar shit because they know it will turn the rest of voters away from them that they need to win the general election. Trump either is too dumb to know or doesn’t seem to care whether he doesn’t get a majority of Americans. My guess is the former.
Where he really saves money on his campaign is speech writing. He just makes it up as he goes along.
