Filly-Buster!!
And McConnell cements his legacy for all time. Future GOP Senators will curse the day McConnell was born for what he is about to do. Party before country.
Idiot.
Interesting to say the least,Mitch are you listening ?
"John McCain rips into “stupid idiot” Republican Senators over Neil Gorsuch confirmation "
And a little background on Johnny Mac
" John McCain: Republicans will block “any Supreme Court nominee” of Hillary Clinton
Expect more of the same from Republicans when it comes to working with a Democratic president "
Don’t fully understand the impact except “tradition” has not been followed.
Feel sorry for Schumer, but then these are not normal times.
He’s doing the best he can, in my opinion. And if not for what he’s already doing, what else could he do to change this outcome to something more favorable?
A very timely repost
" If Gorsuch is confirmed, the legitimacy of the US supreme court won’t recover
Russ Feingold
Never before has Senate leadership so openly and intentionally played political games with our highest court. The consequences are staggering"
I agree. This is so worrisome. The GOP did something here that could truly blow our government up and nothing is going to be done about it because there isn’t much we can do but this is so wrong.
I expect the GOP to embrace their inner wife-beater instincts and go with “SEE WHAT YOU MADE US DO???” when told that they’re destroying themselves down the road.
…but he will vote to abolish the filibuster anyways.
Party above principles
“Our Democratic colleagues have done something today that is unprecedented in the history of the Senate,” he said.
They have ensured that you will own this catastrophe for now, for 2018, and for every election to come.
Someone should let the GOP know “giving you the rope to hang yourself” isn’t particularly unprecedented.
The GOP never suffers political losses anymore for any of these actions.
And I voted for Russ Feingold in his failed attempt to unseat Ron Johnson, who has been as useless as teats on a bull.
Constitutional Convention time!
G-d, no! Not in this current environment. No, thank you!
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.
I believe Eggrollian is saying we’re going to end up with a Convention whether we want it or not.
The GOP is that close.
Not on my watch! Or yours either, I’ll wager.
