Why does she need an âannouncementâ? Just freaking do it.
Loretta, stop bowing to this GOP fear-mongering nonsense.
Although, I wonder if she says sheâll âacceptâ it because she knows more about it than we all do and itâs pretty much a big nothing burger.
Why is it bad that the Attorney General met with a potential criminal targetâs spouse, when the target herself can freely campaign with the Attorney Generalâs boss?
like it matters, the FBI is going to call on doing nothing and the anti Hillary people will just say the FBI is rigged as well.
To calm the muddied waters created by rightwing conspiracy theorists, the Hillary Hate Industrial Complex, the laughable so-called âlibrul mediaâ that still wants to make hay out of anything to do with the Clintons by way of supposition and innuendo, and the boneheaded decision for Bill to meet with Lynch privately in the middle of an investigationâŚleading to all kinds of inflammatory accusations, that probably have no basis in factâŚ
As if its going to calm them.
It wonât.
Just a reminder and the outrage was, shell I say nothing like this that attorney General Lynch is experiencing:
âJustice
Antonin Scalia of the United States Supreme Court today bluntly
rejected demands that he step aside in a case involving Vice President
Dick Cheney, mocking criticism that a duck hunting trip the two were on
in January suggested he would be biased toward his longtime friend.Hours
later, the Sierra Club, which had formally asked Justice Scalia not to
participate in a case it had brought against the vice president, said it
would take no more legal action against the justice, even though it
believed his ``recusal was still warrantedââ to ensure public faith in
the integrity of the court.â
BTW,I see Johnathan Capehart is getting a big stage for this event.Good for him.
I am REALLY SICK AND TIRED of the conspiracy minded GOPpers swarming like angry bees every single time a WOMAN does something that any man HAS done or WILL do and be lauded as a manly man. STOP THE CRAP and concentrate on the people actually harming the countryâŚyou know, like NEWS.
that âabove suspicionâ belief.
now no one knows what was saidâŚit could have been about either how Dusty Baker is doing a great job with the Nats or the subject could have been about âdrapesâ. However being seen together was a âgreatâ opportunity for Sanders and Trump supporters to act like barking dogs on a porch.
People here who should know better touched on âthe opticsâ, one of those insider phrases we hear so much, a sure sign weâve all be sucked into the swamp of D.C. speak.
This is not the first time during this campaign that it has occurred to me that Bill Clinton is senile.
Umm I live in DC, so thatâs normal for me.
Thatâs somewhat true, but my counter-point would have been that the modern day GOP will always be looking for something in regards to hope (âknocks three timesâ in regards to irony), because being stuck with Trump ait making their lives any easier.
The problem is that they are losing. They have been losing for a long time, even when they think they are winning. Witness the last couple of days in SCOTUS.
Itâs desperation. They need a feeding frenzy, it doesnât matter what kind of crap they throw out as chum, they think if the waterâs boiling theyâre gonna get blood.
And now, theyâre so hungry for blood they are even turning on each other.
The arc of the universe is bending slowly but inexorably in our direction and they are lost, lost. lost.
Still, the other half of my questionâwho cares about the conversation of a spouse and a cop, when the chief prosecutor (with the absolute power to pardon) is meeting, talking and campaigning with the woman herself?
Iâve got to get this this off my chest.
In cases like this, my beef is with our national press. You know, the folks that donât believe in objectivity; the folks that flogg the metanarrative, the he said-she said and horse race journalism. The same folks that have continually sucked at any kind of objective reporting on the science of climate change, or any other kind of science issues for that matter. âShape of earth, some views differâ journalism. If itâs facts and objectivity I want, Iâll go to the primary sources. I wouldnât trust our press corps to aknowledge objective reality as far as I could drop kick a Plymouth Grand Fury in a swamp.
And its always the same pattern: RWNJ blogs and shock jocks --> Fox News --> MSM --> breathless demands for committee hearings, investigations and special prosecutors --> inconcusive findings and giant bags of money spent.
Finally, Is Hillary Clinton trustworthy? Probably as much, if not more, than most reasonable politicians. Completely trustworthy? I doubt it. No oneâs perfect. Iâm not a fanboy. My dream candidate would have been Sherrod Brown. But the way this woman has been defamed and libeled by the press over the past 20 years is nothing short of breathtaking. And yet, sheâs survived.
Finally, As to the FBI investigation:
p.s. Oh, and Loretta, donât grovel. If thereâs one thing I canât stand itâs people groveling.
Which is just stupid. âWe donât think you can fairly listen to this case and thus should recuse yourself, but since you arenât willing to do that we are going to pretend it isnât an issue to insure the publicâs faith in the integrity of the court.â If justices are refusing to recuse themselves from cases they canât be impartial on than the court doesnât have any integrity and pretending that it does doesnât help anyone.
A real Fourth Estate would pray for Al Capone as a Democratic candidate, if the opponent is Trump.
I have thought long and hard about the MSM and this election. There HAVE to be people that the elites of the MSM know personally who have ancestors and relatives who were in the Holocaust. For me, BEHAVIOUR is a better indicator than slogans and protestations of âbeing objectiveâ in the coverage of a psychopath (Trump) and a conventional enough politician (Clinton)
They, therefore, must not care whether fascism descends upon the United States on January 2017. I must admit they have fooled me.
They(Sierra Club) did twist themselves in a slight knot on this one.
