Apparently this is not where attention is today. That’s kind of scary. There are plenty of rings at the circus today.
Well, this is my favorite item from the summary so far:
Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) – who Cruz bashed Tuesday for impugn[ing] the integrity of a fellow senator” – jumped into the fray when his turn for questioning came up next. He noted that Cruz himself misrepresented evidence Tuesday when he said that the lawyer who testified against Sessions in his 1986 judgeship hearings had recanted his testimony. (The attorney only recanted one small part of his testimony.)
“If the senator is going after a witness for not being balanced, I would suggest that the senator look at his own methods of making arguments,” Franken said.
Does anyone know if he’s been asked (on Tuesday) about his convenient lapses of information in his information given to the committee?
More Bookers and Frankens, please.
The info posted about the media packets being handed out by Trump team is absolutely disturbing and infuriating.
sessions , a known racist is obviously not the only republican member of congress who is…it is paramount to remember that republicans can NOT win national/presidential elections and in most states with diversity…state wide races…without voter fraud and all the ways they have to accomplish it.
he is being put in charge of making sure the expansion of voter fraud will never be threatened by federal scrutiny let alone prosecution.
the Congressional Black Caucus.( African American community )understands this quite well indeed.
Bush was notorious for hiring bad Attorneys General. This racist bigot just continues the grand Republican tradition.
It is sad, isn’t it. But they hold all the cards, unless some nominees are too tainted.
It’s sad but I am heartened by our guys stepping up and making a record that will last about why this man is not fit to be AG.
We are not taking anything lying down and I like it. No there is not much we can do to stop them but we are making one hell of a public record of all of this.
Sessions is proposing to use a religious test to assess the qualifications of attorneys. If he is unwilling to abide by the Constitution’s bar of such tests for holding office, he cannot honestly take the oath of office and should withdraw from seeking to be AG.
Just like since Unpresident Nazifrog is in a compromised position with regard to a foreign power, he really can’t take the oath of office and swear he will protect and defend the constitution without lying?
Yep.
When Trump is impeached, do we at least get a new cabinet when Pence takes over?
Be careful what you ask for . . . .you might get it. You think Pence’s appointees will be an improvement?
Well, not saying that there won’t be huge problems there but less pro-Russian billionaires and potentially less chosen where loyalty to him personally is the top qualification and potentially all of them will actually know something about government.
You think his picks will be worse?
